Incredible service! Amazing downtown location with cozy atmosphere. Food is amazing - fish burger is a personal favourite! Nothing but positive things to say about this restaurant!

Stopped in with hubby and the doggies for lunch. Was thrilled we could have the dogs with us at the table on the patio and that there were water bowls provided. Service was a little slow and unfortunately our order got lost and it took a while to get our food. Kitchen tried to rush the meal to make up for the delay and our spinach dip was still cold in the middle. Overall the food was good and I would return to try the food again.
Great food and great service! Will definitely go there again next time we're in Halifax! They have the best fish and chips and the best mussels we ever had!
Beers cold..food's not bad...however don't tell anyone a joke within earshot of some of the staff...or you could be barred!Happened to 4 people I know and thereby they lost 12 customers!(Friends and family)Who brought them thousands in business every month!I guess they just don't know how to run a bar! Their loss!..so many other great bars nearby that now have our business!
Stopped for drinks, was good prices reasonable. If you sit outside the nice thing is there's a doggy daycare and you get to see all the dogs going home. Such happiness!

Me and my partner are new to the area and are trying new restaurants. The Brown Hound has excellent food at a reasonable price for it being a pub. We tried the beef dip sandwich and the chicken korma and both were exceptional. We will be coming back!
