Pretty darn good and delivers quickly. Although the cheese they use on their poutines isn't curds, at least the fries and gravy are hot, and the cheese is melted. B+
We ate at Swiss Chalet on Lacewood Drive for our 21st anniversary a few days ago. We used the $24.99 coupon for two chicken dinners. Had a good server (Angela) and another friendly one helped us with some questions. The appetizers and entrees were excellent. I was disappointed in the pies. The pecan pie was rather boring, and the coconut cream and lemon pies do not have real crust, only that crumbly stuff that taste like sawdust. The Swiss Chalet website is TOTALLY confusing, and they do not have a simple PDF menu WITH PRICES that I can download for review at home. Overall, our experience was Ok, but not all that exciting.
Food for 6 people was ready on time, despite it being busy. My club wrap was lacking some flavour and was a bit dry. Perhaps use more mayo or try a ranch sauce for more flavour. Sweet potato fries were good. My husband's plain fries were not good. He said they seemed like leftover, bottom of the barrel fries. Also, the chicken in his quarter chicken dinner was the size of a chicken thigh. Very small and disappointing.

My chicken was rather pink but, knowing that chicken is their specialty, I ate it...I should not have because I spent five hours that evening emptying my guts.The server also got my order wrong.Overall, it reminded me why I avoided this place. Nothing has changed other than the decor.
I highly recommend Swiss Chalet Lacewood to anyone looking to mix up their dinner routine and try something different. With them, you can count on quality menu items, great prices and an overall enjoyable experience.
Everytime I get take out the fries are burnt from yhis location.
Restaurant is located in a good location - close to a major store, gas station, bank?...First waitress to attend to us was very impatient and snappy. We requested a change and the new waitress was a super star.Our order were ribs and burger with ribs. We realised too late it was pork; it couldn't be changed so we had to order chicken and fish, which was lovely.Also, my friend got a free dessert as it was her birthday?
Never a bad meal. Great service. Large quantities, great wings.The servers....... Well that's another story......... The very best!
This is a wonderful place to have lunch, sipper, a social time, celebrations, whatever. I've often dined here with friends, and two volunteer groups with which I am involved have met here for our annual Christmas Lunch for many years now--save of course, for 2020, when such things were not possible. Wendy and her staff (most recently Jessica and Neel) have been amazing. Always so helpful, patient, kind, and going above and beyond. The food has been consistently delicious, and the portions more than enough. I cannot post enough kind, appreciative sentiments.
