Our hotel was just up the street and the staff recommended this place for good coffee. It was so good we went back 3 mornings in a row. Small but tasty & fresh breakfast menu, lovely staff. It was great to sit on the patio and watch the city wake up. Amazing lattes.

Each time we go to Halifax we make a stop at this tiny place next to the Folklore centre. The coffee is always excellent and the baked goods are tasty. We especially like the seed cakes and the morning muffins. Highly recommended.
Do not come here for food. This place has nice atmosphere but don’t be fooled, food portions are really small for the price. And I mean, *really* small, like the Egg Reno (which is really just a small breakfast sandwich despite a misleading description making it sound like breakfast dish) and the bagels too.After my friend ate the Egg Reno, we had to go somewhere else since it wasn’t filling at all.There was no liquid syrup for my iced coffee either.
I used to really love this place. One day though a staff member brought out my food with really dirty fingernails (they use bare hands in the kitchen) I called after leaving, and the person on the phone was just really passive aggressive. Maybe it’s just me but it really grossed me out and I haven’t been able to eat there since, is there a high standard of cleanliness? Probably not…. Before that incident it was one of my favourite spots.

really friendly staff, cutest environment ever, great location, and i LOVE the pastries here! spelt blueberry muffin you have my heart. also one of the few places in town that knows how to do espresso drinks well. pricey but you pay for what you get ☺️ great place to study or meet with a friend. and the breakfast/lunch menu is superb! i just wish they were open past 2. also i love the wallpaper in here.
A cute local coffee shop with plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. I ordered the GreeN Egg-O-RenO which was a great plant based version of a chain restaurant favourite. Prices are reasonable and service is relatively quick.
Went here on a Friday morning right after opening and you can tell they are popular to the locals! Tables were filling up fast but we managed to snag one inside. We ordered the traditional breakfasts and two coffees. W whelk for was good!
