After a long bike ride through the rain, Song's korean restaurant really hit the spot. I've been eating my way through the restaurants of Halifax and this easily has to be the place I had my favourite meal! The kimchi stew was decently spicy, but not overly so and seasoned to perfection. The side dishes were equally delicious, and the honey plum tea I ordered was a delightfully sweet addition! If I were to move to Halifax, I'm certain Song's would become my regular favourite place!
The staff were so kind to me and made sure to give me refills on my drink and even gave me more of the side dishes to eat. They also asked me how I was getting along quite often which I found sweet. The food was also delicious and a good price. I recommend for anyone that wants good Korean food to go here!
Would highly highly recommend dining at this restaurant. The owner who served our food was extremely kind and gave us tips on what to order and all the food we got was delicious, especially the Kimchi pancake. Also the decor was cute and the playlist was fire. Just all and all a very cute family-owned place with delicious food.

The real deal. Sushi aside, I think that Song's was the first of the Korean (Asian in general, really) restaurants to offer real Asian cuisine in Halifax. They deserve my dollar for this alone. And the food is delicious.And so, in my pidgin Korean: Sogangheysoyo!
I ordered a vegan kimbap. They were kind enough to substitute the egg with tofu. The place has a great atmosphere, It's a beautiful place you can invite friends over to eat out at. They have wifi and outlets which can come in handy. Great service from a kind and professional staff!
The restaurant with its ambience and set up along with the old Korean songs truly gives you a little visit to traditional Korean culture.The food was so good and even the customer service was exceptional. The lady who served was really kind to show me how to eat it in a proper way….I even liked the little paper on the table which teaches you some korean words with English translations. Its really cute.The only downside is its really hard to get parking and is a bit pricey.Overall definitely a good place to try for Korean cuisine.
I had lunch yesterday here for the first time and I think it was pretty good for first experience and the food quality was good and delicious It’s not busy these days but the restaurant looks clean except their chairs or bunch. Above all I think four stars is a fair rate for the restaurant. Enjoy Korean food here!
Very atmospheric and the food was great too! Only one issue was that we ordered veggie dumplings but we got one with meat in it. Otherwise the portions were good for me and it wasn't overfilling :)
Wow just incredible Korean food.Highly recommend the Gamjatang (Pork Bone Stew) and Bibibimbap. Which was sooo tasty. This place also refilled the side dishes free of charge!The kimchi here is definitely one of my favorite so rar as it wasn't too too spicy and felt really fresh.If you're looking for authentic Korean food, this place is definitely it.
