I found two things that surprised me. Lots of different kinds of bologna! Perhaps this is the result of really high beef prices. Also, I was surprised to find a sprite zero. Strangely I have not been able to find it anywhere else. Someone in our family really likes it and I look every time I am in the pop aisle at any store. This is the first time I've seen that sprite product in years.
go to the auto checkout and try to pay for my groceries. the tap didn't work and the cashier told me to go to a cashier to pay for groceries. I asked the cashier if the tap was working because she didn't have the physical card with me and she replied that she was working the tap. I paid for the groceries and my card was charged but they wouldn't let me leave with the groceries because they told me the payment didn't register at the register. I had to leave the groceries and my money is not back
Beautiful Boutique meat section, however prices seem to have inflated faster here than elsewhere on comparable goods.Friendly staff, but the layout is a bit confusing first time round, if you wander long enough you will probably find what you are looking for.
Great store. Fresh strawberries being shelved as we got there this morning... very good staff and friendly. Very convenient for us.
Not a bad place to shop, it's easy to get around the store, everything you would need is there, overall I'd recommend it for people who have to get things done quickly.
It's mainly the friendly staff that deserves the rating, yes the pastry and desert department is filled with wonderful things and the fresh produce is of high quality however the prices are ridiculous, they rarely offer 50 percent off older products like other stores so I go elsewhere when I can
Superb store with all your groceries and the best part I liked was E cart no line no chaos. It was very simple and easy, I would say easier than self checkout. Just grab scan put it in the cart and pay it off that’s all. They also have students discount on every Tuesday. Thank you for saving students.
I go out of my way to go to this Sobeys. I find it has the best selection and it's the only one I've found that carries a fresh unfrozen rapport pie from my hometown. I find the layout a little weird to get around from the bakery/meat section to the rest of the store but still 5 out of 5 stars
Was shopping with a friend and after paying we headed to the car. I was physically grabbed outside by the shoulder by a woman whom I later found out was store security (she was plain clothed and didn't identify herself nor provide ID after she finally told me she was store security)She then grabbed my grocery bag and tried to wrestle it out of my hands while repeatedly accusing me of not paying for my groceries and demanding to see my receipt.At this point I had no clue she was security and that she was some random person so I told her I don't show my receipts to random people.I saw some actual store employees and showed them the receipt to prove the groceries were paid for.The lady kept telling them that I didn't pay and the the date on the receipt wouldn't match that day's date (it did) then she accused me of switching receipts with my friend and banned me from the store.When I went inside to find the manager to ask if I was actually banned he took my name and number, told me I wasn't banned "as of now".I haven't heard anything from him or any response to the customer survey I filled out.Make sure you don't decline the receipt when asked at the cash or you may have a run in with "store security"
This sobeys is beyond huge.I went in there for eggs and hash browns once and got lost.The fact that anyone walked me from one end of that store to the other end just to show me deserves a 5 star.Went in searching for which hazel and legit had 4 different people trying to help me find it. Amazing customer service here. One day I'm going to take 2 hours to just browse the whole store. LolThere is a LOT of stuff in there but it always seems so clean and organized!
