We have been there several times. Super fresh oysters in a super central location close to the marina. Perfect service - special thanks to Hailey - we only wanted to be helped by her as she knows a lot about wine and local seafood. Anytime again.

Super atmosphere and a great start to any evening. You can have either cook air conditioned or direct in the fresh air. Service skills of Hailey were out of this world. She knows her oysters and that’s what we appreciate the most. At the end of the day we are here to EAT! Thank You to Hailey and the whole team for the delicious food and impeccable service.

Happy hour was recommended by our HopYard server for the 1.50 oyster bar. He was definitely correct. Sampled 10 different types of oysters with the option to pick them yourself. Service was great and helpful. Also had the fish and chips which were battered differently than home but still enjoyable.

Went for oysters during happy hour, $1.50 each. Got a mix of 4 kinds across two dozen, favourites being the Tuxedo and Lucky Limes - meaty, briney and satisfying. Impressed with the shucking quality too. No shell bits and the meat was cleanly separated for easy eating. Mignonette was a good accent and not overpowering. Tried to get one more order in just as 6:00 rolled around but the system can't provide the same happy hour price without manager approval, so just order all you want before happy hour ends! Friendly service and great oysters, truly making it a happy happy hour.

It’s not very often I pass up the opportunity to stop in for oyster happy hour. $1.50/oyster from 4-6 is a great deal and the staff is always super friendly and great to talk to.House made hot sauce and mignonette with the freshly grated horseradish is top notch.I’ve had the ceviche and fish and chips in the past and that also does not disappoint. Do not skip this stop if you’re in Halifax around 4pm.

A local girl took us here during our trip. Being an experienced oyster fan I ordered the shucker’s dozen. They really gave 13 oysters and wow the taste is very refreshing and clean! The prices are a bit higher but the freshness can’t be beat. Yummmm!!!

Great food, flawless and personable customer service, wicked location! GREAT PATIO!If you’re looking for a restaurant close to the harbor with excellent food SHUCK is the place. Huge variety of oysters and other fresh seafood, great craft beer selection and the cocktails are creative and fresh!A must for any foodie looking for great eats in Halifax!

We had the best dinner of our entire life at Shuck. We came to Halifax for our honeymoon and this was the restaurant that was on our bucket list. They did not disappoint. They sat us at a private table by the window and our server Mariam was phenomenal. We ordered oysters for happy hour, mussels and their seafood tower. It is the most we have ever spent on a meal but I could cry at how amazing it tasted. They had local oysters from all 3 provinces and we got to choose which ones we wanted. Their in house hot sauce was the perfect compliment. The mussels and their sauce were incredible and plentiful. And then the seafood tower- I have never seen anything more glorious. Completely worth the money. The ceviche was our favourite, the mussels in guac amazing, thick amazing pieces of sashimi. The lobster and crab were fresh and again the oysters were to die for. I would eat this again and again. We also ordered Caesars and dessert which were so delicious! This was a once in a lifetime meal and we are so grateful.

Friendly service and delicious oysters! You should definitely get the shuck combination oysters. Seafood soup was very tasty but don’t expect it to be creamy as clam chowder. I liked calamari, it was super soft not chewy but I found it very salty. Definitely order main dish for salmon you will taste the ocean in your mouth :) the last but not least, duck wings were okay we ordered sauce on the side. For a dessert loved the creme brûlée! You won’t regret ordering it at the end!

Shuck was a great evening with delicious, fresh food and great service! The menu is diverse and focuses on fresh, tasty seafood with options for people who do not like seafood. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible (except for the washrooms).Dishes are a bit on the salty side, but perfectly cooked and simple.
