I went there today for the first time. As Google Maps suggested to me I will find cake there. I was talking to my wife over the phone in the shop about what she wanted to have for lunch. After a while, the man who is serving food over the counter told me to stay outside if I'm not ordering. Other Customers are waiting for coming inside with a look at me like I did a massive crime. Where there was only one person inside the shop and no one was outside. And it was cold today. Terrible customer service. I will never come back and recommend anyone.
Hussein is great. The food is amazing and authentic. Especially the mousaka and all the delicious pastries. Favourite place in Halifax.

Finally decided to check this place out and was not disappointed! Got the chicken shawarma and baklava. Both were absolutely delicious, very good portions and for a reasonable price. Ingredients are fresh. I will definitely be back

Had the chicken shawarma wrap with a friend. Delicious, fresh, reasonably priced... The list goes on. Also, the gentleman running the restaurant was extremely kind and polite. Great option for something healthy and filling.
I highly recommend this local, family-run Mideast food mecca in North End Halifax. You can pick up supplies and unique ingredients for cooking and baking, eat delicious food at the cafe, or order a custom meal or dessert to go. For my mom’s 65th birthday celebration, I ordered $75 worth of baklava and it was perfection, with very generously sized pieces for more than 15 people (and beautifully crafted and presented). We will be ordering this again for special occasions!
Love these guys!We had the lamb stew and the eggplant diner, and they were so hearty and tasty! Looking forward to coming back and trying more of this tasty food. :)
I absolutely find this my favourite take out food establishment that surpasses all. Freshly prepared with subtle flavours at very reasonable prices. Folks are very accommodating & polite. Best place also to but nuts, pita, nan & groceries to enhance or recreate this cuisine.
Very friendly staff, food is AMAZING! No others like it. Decently priced, great portions. Great for vegetarians/& or vegans. All around, amazing store and restaurant.
