Top atmosphere in busy waterfront area. Huge windows. Nice decor and location across from Maritime Museum. Good service and food. There is a corner entrance if unable to climb a few stairs at museum view entrance.
Totally enjoyed our meal. Took advantage of the $30 Early Bird menu available 4-6 pm. Got an appetizer, entree, and dessert for $30 which is amazing. The salad was crisp and fresh, and the coconut cream pie was excellent. Our entree was the crunchy haddock. The breading is a combination of crushed corn flakes, rice krispies, and taco chips. Loved it! Also ordered an additional appetizer: the bacon wrapped scallops. So yummy!
For our last night in Halifax we wanted lobster and we were not disappointed. Service was great. Would recommend to anyone and we will definitely return.

Both I and my daughter had the seafood tacos. Made with thick pcs of halibut, lightly battered. Super delicious, very filling. Good portions for your money. I'd definitely return to this restaurant in a heartbeat.
We were happy that we had made a prior reservation as this restaurant is, understandbly, very busy. In spite of being busy the service was very good and friendly. We all ordered and devoured the lobster rolls and the crab bisque was also delicious. It was a very pleasant evening.
We shared a light dinner at McKelvie’s and it was worth the visit! To start, we each tried the Original Crab Bisque- it stands out as a highlight of our East Coast Foodie Adventure and I highly recommend stopping in for a bowl. So rich and creamy with generous pieces of crab throughout. We also tried the Oyster Rockerfeller, Deconstructed Smoked Salmon and Lemon Thyme Mussels. Everything was excellent. A great, lively atmosphere suitable to families and people of all ages.

The backyard patio area is private and a beautiful place to sit in the summer. You absolutely need to have the crab cakes here. Extremely tasty and all meat no filler.
Four of us went here for dinner. We all had different meals and they we all delicious! We will definitely go back!
