What is going on with the egg rolls? Not a single flake of salt or seasoning. Tastes of nothing, no ginger, no garlic, not even meat. Very strange, lacking of pride.
This restaurant has been around for forever it seems. Really good food. Parking is a little tougher right now with all the building going on.
The food was was quite tasty. My wife order the combo 7, BBQ short ribs, and I order general tao chicken. The staff were very friendly but really busy, felt rushed just because it seemed they needed to run after you finished speaking. The washrooms did not have a change table and are quite small, not really ideal for family dining if you have a young family. Also, they didn't have children size cups which is a non-issue as we came prepared but for someone it may cause an issue. All in all good food, a little on the pricier side 40 dollars for two combos after taxes. But next time for us specifically we are just doing takeout.
Hands down the best Canadian Chinese food I have had in years. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Has the Chinese restaurant atmosphere I remember from the 80s, loved it. Parking is the only downfall, there is none. You have to find a place to park on the street.
Worst Chinese food we've ever had. Ordered the dinner for two (option A), and the food was bland, the sweet and sour chicken came drenched in so much sauce it was like soup, the two egg rolls were egg "folds" with a tasteless paste in the center, and the chicken chow mein was bean sprouts with chunks of boiled-looking, tasteless chicken tossed in. The beef rice was very hard, and had none/little actual beef or beef flavour? On top of that, the estimated delivery came 30 minutes late. Would definitely pass on this place if you're looking for flavour and convenience that's worth the money.
Food wad great. Service was very fast and friendly and reasonably priced and the premises very clean. We will definitely return with friends and family.
Terrible customer service! My family have been ordering from this iconic restaurant for over 29 years This evening ordered two combos at $40.00 and received two tubs of nothing that was ordered
This restaurant is on my regular lunch rotation, as a person who works in Fairview. My friend and I both enjoy the simplicity of the place, the food is consistently good where we know exactly what to expect, friendly service, and an actual major decision factor, is that we are lucky enough to get street parking right out front every time. So if we are a bit crunched for time to get back to work, this place is a safe bet. More importantly, the dishes are always fresh, filling, tasty, with decent lunch combos. Big, comfy booths. Maybe seating for 40 or so total, between all tables? If I lived the neighborhood, I'd probably grab takeout from here at night regularly too.
Used to be our go to Chinese food for years unfortunately it started to go down hill we struggled to find a restaurant to replace it. But, those too started to wain. Started to read good reviews on Look Ho Ho now under new ownership, so we took a chance and ordered. This was definitely a great choice, the food was excellent and piping hot, General Tao was awesome! Please do not change anything, this once again will be our go to spot! Congrats!
I’ve been enjoying eating here for half a century and hope to for another half. Great classic Chinese Canadian & wonderful service.
