THIS WAS THE MOST AMAZING MEAL OF MY LIFE! Whenever I think of this donair I physically start shaking. By the end I was on my hands and knees crying and pounding the floor with my fist screaming “COMPLIMENTS TO THE CHEF” this was the best meal of my entire life and since then I have stopped eating as nothing would quite match that meal! Compliments to the chef, truly impeccable!
Why purposely ignore a faithful customers order requests and send out what they didn’t want despite the note saying feel free to charge me extra, with manners. I work in a restaurant too and denying customers easy requests to add a simple vegetable to an item results in an annoyed person after paying the price, delivery fees and tip. Do better.
This was the worst Donair I ever had. Dry and flavourless. Do yourself a favour, go somewhere else. My wife had a pizza, if you want to call it that. Most of the food went into the garbage.
Never had Donairs before, until today. Had the original and the flavor Was there. The meat was delicious with the sweet and savoury sauce topped with tomato and onions.All my 9000 tastebuds recommended this take-out to anyone
Not a royal looking place for the King of Donair but if you want the real deal ... it is the King of kings! I have had a few donairs in the past and they were good but mostly garlicky tasting. Here the sauce shines through. As other reviewers say it is sticky sweet spicy goodness that is lathered in the thinly sliced beef. Generous portions of beef with the right amount of onions and tomatoes to balance out the heaviness of the meat. Awesome food baby. The staff was friendly and accommodating with my questions. I will definitely come back for more of the King!
The worst donair I have ever had. The staff did not know how to make one. This was late at night. The donair meat was dry. Likely sitting in a warmer for hours. Thought it was the street food in Halifax. We have much better donair in Edmonton. Very disappointed.
Just another franchise. Maybe it was great in its hey day. Maybe not. Mediocre food. Terrible service. Don’t waste your time or money. Place is very dirty!! I feel that all the photos and compliments on the walls are false advertising at this point.
We visited Halifax for the first time so, we had to give King Of Donair a try.Overall, the food was OK. It was nothing extraordinary but not necessarily disappointing. Definitely, more of a late-night pitstop, if you are in the area.The restaurant was OK inside. They have a few seats but, it’s not too roomy. Service was alright but, a little slow for being quite empty at the time.
Very fresh and yummy! The donair sauce was amazing!! The service was friendly and fast.
Ordered a medium donair. I didn't know what the difference between the regular and the medium was, it turns out the difference was how much meat goes into it. I found that a regular might have been enough, as the added meat made it a touch too salty for me (that's my own fault though). Overall the flavors were good. I'd go back.
