I've been here a half dozen times over many years and I continue to be happy with each experience. From the friendly and helpful service team to the Wizards in the kitchen to the casual ambiance of the basement pub, it's a great experience overall each time. Henry House offers a nice variety of options from fancy salads, burgers and classic pub favorites like Fish & Chips. But the best reason to go, in my humble opinion, is the Sticky Toffee Pudding dessert that they offer. I went once with a friend and we decided to split a portion, but after one bite each, we had to order a second one so we could have our own. It's the absolute best Sticky Toffee Pudding in the city, as far as I'm concerned. Combine that with great service and a delicious meal, you've got a great driving experience ahead of you.

If you like an amazing old building full of history and culture and amazing pub food including incredible fish and chips...this place is for you!

I have been here several times and have always enjoyed my meal. This time around I had the buttermilk chicken on bun. It was nicely cooked, as were the sides. Others in my party also enjoyed their meals. Service was attentive. Some may not like the darker lighting of the downstairs, but we prefer it. There is an upstairs restaurant as well as outdoor seating when the weather is nice.

This old restaurant/pub has been in this location for many years. It has a nice "English Pub" atmosphere and the food and service has always been excellent. Their Steak & Kidney is excellent and the beer choices are always good with a nice selection of locals craft beers as well a traditional British style beers. They have very limited parking out back in a lot in serious need of maintenance, but there is usually street parking available in this area. Their patio was open when we went and provides a nice spot to enjoy this area of the city. Our server was friendly and helpful and the food was delicious as usual.

Fantastic place, off the beaten track but so worth hunting out. Big shout out to Emma for her attention and great service (she even remembered us when we went back ) The food was fabulous, great tasting and not pretentious..we had madras curry and the steak and kidney pie on our dinner trip and Nachos when we did lunch, they were a huge portion but lacked quite a bit in the veggies and could have used more jalapeños. It would have been 5 stars but for that. We will definitely go back, highly recommended.

Beautiful historical building with great food and service! We ordered the poutine and the salt cod fish cakes to share. The poutine serving was a bit small for sharing but the prices were very good!

The ambiance is wonderful. The main wall in the dining room appears to be original cut stone. The service is very good. The food was excellent! We had the lobster dip as an appetizer, 10 out of 10 I had the corned beef and cabbage, 10 out of 10 My wife had the seafood chowder, 10 out of 10 My granddaughter had the Ceasar salad, 10 out of 10 And we shared the sticky toffee pudding for dessert, and yes, I thought that it was 10 out of 10 also. We all enjoyed our food and I thought that the price was quite reasonable. We will definitely go back!

Recently had a late supper here and the meal was decent. Ordered an Ultimate Burger which was a reasonable size for the price although a lack of care was put into assembling the burger. The toppings must have been thrown on as nearly every bite tasted different from the last. Although the bun was hearty and tasted good, it did not hold up against the toppings and was messy. Additionally, the waiter was very friendly. The greatest downside was that a neighboring table was so loud that the group of us at our table could hardly hear each other. Nevertheless, a decent place although another star would be warranted if the adjacent table was asked to respect the other patrons.

First time here, was Friday night so of course it was busy. Sat in the pub at the bar. Excellent nachos, great beer selection n fun staff. Will definitely make a return visit! Highly recommend

Great food, great service. Really cozy atmosphere , with the fire place. Worth a visit, especially if you like English food, just missing English draught beers.
