We recently had an unexpected stay in Halifax as my father needed some medical care at the hospital located walking distance from this restaurant. We stopped in for a much needed break from the fast food and hospital cafeteria food that we had been living off of for a few days at that point. The service was impeccable and the food was Great. The staff took the time to talk with us and were very personable and compassionate given our circumstances. I have nothing but good things to say about this establishment. I would highly recommend dropping by if you are in the area. We will most definitely be back for both the food and the conversation. Some of the nicest people I have met in a long time.

Great food and good serviceI really liked the shirley templeI ordered the Manhattan pizza, the classic poutine, the jalapeño popppers and everything was amazing. The poutine was one of the best in Halifax.Their decor is beautiful. Feels like New York city. Overall loved it and will definitely come again.

Food was good, prices are good, atmosphere is good and the staff was good. Really have no complaints about the place itself. The only thing that's a little tricky is the parking situation but that's just Quinpool in general. Recommend stop in or takeout.Parking: Seemingly mostly just street parking which can get a little hectic however we also went late at night so there may have been some parking options that I didn't see.Wheelchair accessibility: Seems to have great accessibility since it's ground level.

Beer: good. Staff: good. Food: poor. When visiting seaside locales, I can order fish and chips because the fish is guaranteed to be fresh (due to a sensitivity, I can’t do frozen or old fish). I ordered one piece, and when it came it was about the size of a glasses case (small for f&c) and smelled fishy. Obviously frozen or old, despite the menu claim that it’s fresh daily (which should be illegal in Halifax)! Sent it back and ordered pasta Alfredo dish: more disappointment. Overdone slimy pasta, rubbery bag chicken, and a sauce that was merely oil mixed with sweet chili sauce from a jar: no cream in sight. Plus, the spoon provided was a teaspoon, useless for pasta spinning. All in all, a huge letdown: I’ve been spoiled with good pub fare made fresh and with care. This was as far from that as I was from Hamilton! The extra star is for the staff, who did their best.

Don’t get fish and chips from a pizzeria. Great service, really nice ambiance. We both chose fish and chips, fish didn’t taste fresh and the batter was oily. The chips were over seasoned with garlic salt. Would visit again but not for the fish

Order from here for our office a few times a year and very disappointed in the amount of mistakes we receive each time we order. Missing sour creams always, ordered a caramel cheesecake and two cherry but got sent all three cherry, very upsetting when you know how good the caramel is. The food is always good, but the details are always missing. We understand with big orders mistakes can happen and we’re very easy people to get a long with but it seems every single time we order their are items missing. This was our 3-4 time ordering from here. Hard to continue supporting with mistakes always happening. 3 stars for the lack of attention to detail, will probably come here on personal time but ordering for our office likely will not happen again.

Pizza here is to die for. The toppings and serving sizes are really generous and delicious. Service is top notch. Highly recommended. Best pizza in the city hands down. SOOOOO GOODD, really impressed by the quality and service. I don’t remember our server’s name but he was really kind and welcoming. 1000/10

Such a disappointing experience. Waited for 10 minutes just to be seen by them so that we can have a seat. Later, ppl who cane after us were served and our order wasnt even taken, menus wsnt given. Pathetic service. The staff was highly disappointing, attitude was so negative and you guys lost a regular customer. It felt like racism attitude pll after us were served and they dint even serve a glass of water to us. Shame on you guys.

I stopped by Freeman's as it was next to my hotel and I needed a meal after the drive from Fredericton. The pizza was great, very nostalgic. While the crust was somewhat unique to what I'm used to, it was crispy and one of my favourites. The nostalgia came in through the sauce. It tasted like what I remember Pizza Hut tasting like 25 years ago, but overall much better as the crust wasn't soaked in grease. Also having the option to double your glass of wine for 2.99 was great and so I ordered their house red which could have used a bit more depth of flavour, but it was still wonderful after a long drive. The donair taquitos though were just alright. I would have preferred a better meat:cheese. The cheese overpowered the donair meat. I did like the shell though. The server was nice, but could have been a bit more attentive. The atmosphere and design of the place was also nice and while I didn't participate, they do have a trivia night which I'm always a fan of. I'll be going back to try other items next time as their menu has a lot of options.

So happy that this little gem popped up when my husband was looking for somewhere for us to eat today. He ordered this crazy sounding dish of mashed potatoes with waffles and chicken and as crazy as it sounds he loved it. I ordered the Big Blue Cheese Hamburger which was delicious. The meat patty was great, had just rhe right amount of blue cheese and the rest of the burger was well put together, like somewhere cared. The place is covered in pictures and things that either relate to New York or the local area. As good as the food was the server was as well. Didn't get his name but he was attentive, gave recommendations and was happy to spend an extra couple minutes talking with us about things to see. Overall a great experience for our first day in Halifax.
