Amazing lobster roll and fish n chips! Friendly service.

One of the best of the fish and chips I've ever tried ? gotta try the chowder with fish combo. You wont be disappointed ♥️

Fantastic isn't a strong enough word.My father has been raving about this place for months and I was finally able to go with him the other day.I was absolutely blown away by the food. Hands down the best fish and chips I've ever had (and I've had MANY, its my favorite thing to order when I go out).Portion sizes are pretty insane so if you're a light eater, go with a one-piece. Staff are very friendly and it's very clean. My new go-to for fish and chips. Make the trip to Bayers Lake for it - definitely worth it.

Love this place. Superior fish and chips. What l love is how big the fish filets are inside the batter. Light and crispy, mouth watering, and addictive. The staff are amazing too. Eat in or outside.

Amazing small diner atmosphere, with a friendly staff and amazing food! Excellent fish and chips and the lobster roll was to die for. On top of all that the portion sizes and pricing were great.

This was one wicked fish and chips. Came here on a recommendation from a friend and the fish did not disappoint. The lady who served us was great! Pretty sure she was the owner. Quick, friendly service. But the fish, wow. So good. If I was a local in Halifax I'd be making a visit more often than I care to admit.

We got an 8pc family pack and a 10pc family pack for $111 after taxes. All the food was delicious!!! It was a little soggy coming out of the box but we put it in the oven for a few minutes and it was nice and crisp on the outside. We all enjoyed our Good Friday feast! Will be back again in the near future for sure!

The food is not particularly 'heart healthy' but the fish and chips were hot, flavorful, and freshly prepared. The three large pieces of haddock and literally a second plate full of fries is enough for two people in our opinion. The seafood chowder was the best with lots of meat and little or no potato and/or filler. Flavor was rich and the dish well seasoned. There is limited seating so plan on carry out. Orders are taken at the counter and servers will bring the food to your car if desired. We would go again.

We had been led to believe that this was the definitive take-out (or dine-in, a couple of tables inside) fish restaurant in the Halifax area but it was a disappointment. The ladies preparing the food were very nice and obliging with the order but at the end of the day the scallops and fries were simply deep-fried cholesterol bombs and not all that tasty. And expensive at $18 an order. Hard to recommend this restaurant but perhaps if you try something else maybe it would be better (like fish and chips).

What a disappointment. When i heard that a local diner was serving "Newfie fries," (known in Newfoundland as "chips, dressing and gravy") I couldn't wait to have some.First let me break it down into the components:the chips: 1/3 of them were undercooked giving that hard, starchy awful raw potato taste.the claimed to be "real bread dressing": in Nfld, dressing is made with dried bread torn into small pieces, with lots of chopped onion and savoury cooked inside a chicken or turkey. it is supposed to be moist, succulent and bursting with flavour. This diner served dry, powdered bread crumbs from a can. There was savoury but no onion and no chicken flavour.the gravy: the first strike was the strange dark colour reminiscent to outhouse sewage. This was obviously "beef" gravy from a can. Take note of the chicken/turkey reference above. That would have and will always have that light tan colour we all know. This dark sluice on my plate had zero flavour. This is where I can be really helpful to the owner/manager/cook/customer's palate/the general public. Adding one or more of the following: chicken oxo, oyster sauce, sea, salt, cilantro, chives, a little garlic powder, a little cayenne pepper will rescue the zero flavour into some flavour. Using all will knock your socks off.A real test of gravy is "would I want to have a bowl of it with a spoon just by itself?"I understand the limitations of a small diner, but come on, do something. Don't embarrass my heritage by calling this dish Newfie fries.
