Spectacular. The drinks, the appies, and the mains were delicious. The presentation was great too. Our server was very professional but oddly couldn’t answer any questions about the menu or wine. Maybe she was new. But great experience and would go back.

I’ve eaten here for both brunch and dinner. Vibe of the restaurant is very good, and v delicious cocktails. The dishes are plated beautifully and were overall pretty good, though some felt heavy handed on the seasoning.

Surpassed expectations of brunch.Food is really good.Generous portions at reasonable prices.Delicious scones.

We booked this restaurant ahead of our visit to Halifax based on recommendations and reviews and were not disappointed! Nice and cosy atmosphere, very friendly and competent staff and delicious food. Make sure to try their tuna poke dish, scallops and halibut cheeks which was our favourite dish.

Great server. Great cocktails. Pricey but you get what you pay for and sometimes you deserve the finer things in life. Menu is always evolving so i look forward to trying some fall dishes next time im in the city.

Friendly service, really nice vibe. I went here for both brunch and dinner and both were delicious! If you can only do one I'd recommend dinner. The lighting makes the evening a very cozy atmosphere and the food is sooo tasty.

My son and I had dinner last night at Edna's. Cathy was our waitress - very friendly and efficient. I had the grilled Caesar wedge to start and for the main course, the seared scallops with miso sunchoke puree. My son had a starter which was one of the specials - a tomato on toast and then he had the pork belly and squid. Our meals were very delicious!! When we left, the different staff members we walked past all thanked us and wished us a nice evening. We will definitely return.

I hadn't been there in almost 4 years but it was worth the wait. Wait time was under 30 minutes, which was very decent on a Sunday for that place. The hostess was very friendly and efficient. Service was equally friendly, 100% NOT pretentious. I decided to try the daily special, a pork fillet with mushrooms and veggies. It was the most unique dish I've had in about 10 years. Perfectly cooked and seasoned.

It was tough to choose restaurants for a three-day whirlwind visit to Halifax but I am so glad I picked Edna. The whole experience was fantastic. The standout, however, was tge Arctic char Aburi, which is blow-torched on one side and raw on the other. It was drizzled with tamari and scallion oil, and topped with radishes and smoked trout caviar. The combination of flavours, textures and colours made it one of the best dishes I've ever eaten. I also had the corn fritters, which were delicious but paled in comparison. The wine list, ambience and service were great. Highly recommended!

Excellent food and service all around. I will be eating at this place every time I visit Halifax. We had fresh oysters, 2 specials (amuse bouche and squash salad) and a grilled caesar salad. Everything was outstanding.
