Loved the setup and the ambiance. Really takes you to South America. The chicken empanadas were amazing. Staff was very polite. Would definitely visit again : )

Food was so good although pictures are not allowed. So far the best taco in Canada for me.Gotta try urself I guess

Went with a friend For lunch.Disappointed in the pupusas, and while the empanadas were delicious they were bite size and we both left hungry and went elsewhere to eat after. Overpriced for quality, and the pupusas, you couldn’t even taste the pork or cheese. Also felt like my friend was being looked down on and disrespected simply because he asked a question about a dish made with plantain chips. Will not be back.

Stumbled upon this quaint restaurant / shop while looking for brunch but unfortunately left hungry. As other reviewers have pointed out, the menu is chock full of Latin American eats but the portions are miniscule. For instance, tostadas are pictured in the menu resembling the size of a large fist but arrive closer to the size of a two bite brownie. The plate in my picture costs nearly $35!This place has potential, but you'll have to be sure to order lots if you want to leave full.

Incredible food! Authentic Central American cuisine that you have to try.You cannot go wrong with local and homemade with passion! What are you waiting for?

$40 lunch for 2 _ left hungry.Miniature portions, be aware. The pictures are deceiving and not to scale. Ordered the arepas $11, not enough food to feed a small child. Ordered 2 empanadas to make up for still being hungry. They are litteraly 1 bite sizes. Left hungry after spending $16 on a lunch.Husband ordered the Maduros breakfast, $16 and also not a full size adult portion, but more passable.Everything tasted good, but the portions are disappointing for the price, to say the least.Mentioned my comments to the server. She didn't even look up, and just said "Sure, I'll pass it along".Will not be back.

Affordable and delicious! The horchata, tostones, and hot chocolate were all flavourful and rich.

Loved it! A little bit of everything, a really cozy spot.

Fantastic authentic food, good atmosphere, real art, pothos everywhere, and the most adorable little milk jug for coffee. ?

If you look up "hidden gem" in the dictionary, it will just be directions to Cafe Aroma Latino. This place really has everything you want. The atmosphere could not be more cozy, the food is delicious, the prices are reasonable, and the service is great. There's also a nice little shop in the front where you can pick up a bottle of hot sauce or a treat on your way out! If you're looking to have a brunch in Halifax, skip the line at Cora's, drive right on by Pur and Simple, and park your keester at Cafe Aroma Latino and treat yourself to something really special.
