This is the superstore that has the most ethnic goods compared to the other ones around. Before you even enter the second set of automatic doors, you’ll see Korean instant noodles, sweetened probiotic milk, and spiced sunflower seeds, staples of eastern Asian snacks. There is plenty of parking available and it’s quite convenient for a downtown location. There is a Starbucks within. Displays are organized nicely and there are several self checkouts available. It can get very busy the day after a holiday. There is also a student discount available too, as it is close to multiple post secondary institutions. This superstore has a dedicated section for health products and environmentally friendly cleaning and other products.
This is in regards to my experience at the Mobile Shop. It shouldn't take 45 + min waiting in line to buy a sim card while the staff member has a social conversation with obvious friends. The staff member is very friendly once he serves you but good luck if he has friends he wants to chat with before serving you. Would be nice if it was staffed heavier than one person, as one person can only do so much, but it's frustrating when the interaction turns from work related to casual and you've been waiting close to an hour.
I frequent Superstore for many items I won't or can't get at Sobeys. The only thing I must go to Sobeys for is the large Bag of Canadian Wild Blueberries for $13.. and my favorite snack: Greek yogurt with nuts and berries.(about $5)But Superstore has the freshest produce and much cheaper prices.... plus nothing beats PC points. The last year or so since they created the PC app, I now collect and redeem more often in one month than I do with Air miles in one year. ?
Super friendly staff. Its a big store you can find almost anything. There is coocked food too and ready made sandwiches. There is also starbucks inside and mobile gas infront of it
Love the store and selection but there are several rude employees with Ethan at the top of the nasty list. He is rude to visually impaired customers. I'll not shop while he is working.
I found it to be really ,really busy ,but has almost everything that I was looking for ,they have my favorite lacteeze milk there ,Neilsons ,
Great location. Very Convenient to stop by if from downtown Halifax to grab fresh and hot lunch not to mention plenty of parking
Most food items were available. They changed the student discount program, I'm guessing to further promote their PC optimum cards, which was only a minor inconvenience. Most of the employees were helpful in locating the items I wanted. There's a younger boy in particular (wasn't able to get a name) who is really efficient, quick and friendly as the self-checkout monitor. Very satisfied with this store!
The store itself is great. Lots of variety to choose from. But they really need to do something about their bathrooms. They only have two single bathrooms and it was an extremely long wait. And I hate to say it but I don't think they had been cleaned in an extremely long time.
Good typical grocery store. Sold out of 1 item I was looking for....but it was a weekend with lots of students in the area (frozen meal).
