We had the best waitress Liz .she was very helpful with our decision of our meal and drinks . She was super friendly and sweet. She even asked our names and had a gentle touch. . I had the best margarita and tequila. We will be back. Food was great and had the perfect spot outside on a lovely night prior to our Neptune show. I highly recommend... Gwen and Keith
We loved so much about this place. We went for lunch on Taco Tuesday. Our server (Chloe) was AMAZING, So helpful and attentive. The food was delicious as was dessert. We enjoyed margaritas and tequila as well. Atmosphere was wonderful. We weren't rushed and were able to really savor and enjoy. Highly highly recommend.
I was here with my family during a tour of Nova Scotia. I had to compliment the staff for the amazing atmosphere: the way the waiters seemed to be having a great time chatting and joking with each other while working professionally and impeccably made a huge difference - great atmosphere. The food was delicious - I had the best nachos of my life, the meat was exceptional and everything we had was way above our expectations both in quantity and quality. Very very well done guys for the choice of ingredients, the fantastic cuisine and the friendly atmosphere!
Tried Antojo for lunch on a recent visit to Halifax. The food and drinks are excellent! We only ordered mains as we saw the portions were generous. My wife had the Quesadilla Al Pastor, and I had 3 tacos - baja fish, al pastor and chicken tinga. We also ordered margaritas, the Antojo and the Mango No 5. I was really surprised by the high quality of the food. Both meals were excellent. As for the margaritas, they were delicious. The drinks were so delicious we had another round, though my wife ordered the Mango No 5 after tasting mine. Oh forgot to mention the hot sauces. They bring 5 house-made hot sauces to the table ranging from mild to very spicy. We tried them all and they are very good. Antojo has more food and drink offerings than I’ve listed in this review. The service was outstanding, the place was very busy for lunch. We walked by later and it was even busier for dinner. It was a Friday when we visited. Pricing for the quality of food and drink, and the great service, is reasonable (but not cheap). We were there on a Friday but on Tuesday they have reduced pricing on tacos. I believe they have margarita deals on Monday (not 100% sure on this). This is a place I will definitely visit again when in Halifax.
The ambience is good. Great food, however due whatever reasons our table of just 2 people were served much later than folks who came to the restaurant after us. It would be better if staff kept tabs on which orders came first or early.
Extremely mediocre food. For such bright and colorful sauces/toppings, the tacos didn’t have a lot of flavor going on. Carnitas taco was very tender, but tasted like nothing. Like, zero salt was added.
Tried a bunch of items and to be honest didn’t really like the flavours. Everything tasted the same. Vibe is the plus part in this spot.
The tongue tacos were excellent, especially with the chile d'arbol salsa. The chicken tikka tacos were ok. The queso fondito was pretty good. The patio is wonderful, but the floor inside the restaurant is as slick as a hockey rink.
Had dinner here on Canada Day. We didn’t have reservations but we’re able to get a table inside. Our waitress, Hope, was very friendly and efficient. She answered all our questions. Food was very fresh and delicious. Pleasantly surprised at the amount of happy, friendly staff they had and how efficient all of them were. Much better than other restaurants—sign of a good company. Prices were very reasonable, except the Margaritas were kind of small for $13.00 but good.
Wonderful atmosphere and very friendly staff. Went on Taco Tuesday, $4.00 each. Several types and they were all great. I'm not a tequila fan, but if you are, this is the place for you. Huge selection
