Turned away because they don't seat single tables before 7:30 pm? Restaurant was at most fifty percent full and that's being generous. As a business traveller I've never been refused the ability to have dinner and told to come back in an hour when they might seat me. Not that it matters but I was still in business casual and had not been drinking. I just wanted dinner close to my hotel so I would feel comfortable walking back alone.
We were very excited to eat dinner here after reviewing the menu. The food was definitely delicious, but our server was completely disinterested in serving us. He barely came by and when he did it was always awkward, and we felt ignored. The people who brought us our food and drinks were more personable, and the servers waiting on the other tables were far more engaging and attentive. Our bill noted the server as being the ‘manager’.
Delicious biscuits for an appetizer were a surprise hit. Great pork chop, high quality cut of meat with a tasty BBQ sauce. Nice relax atmosphere out door dining option available. Sever a little slow but very pleasant.
The food was great! Tried the famous Smokehouse Burger with fries and Caramelised Scallop Spaghetti. The scallop was cooked to perfection. The pasta is cooked a little too soft. The burger with the caramelised onion and double smoke bacon is just perfect.
Tasty meal for solo traveller.I had the duck and crème brûlée - both delicious. Nice patio, very chill.
Cozy spot. Wait staff very friendly. I had the scallop linguini and my husband the fish plate with haddock, scallops and shrimp. We were both very happy. Prices were reasonable and we would definitely go back again.
I was so excited to try this restaurant for the first time and wanted to love it, but overall I’m dissatisfied with my visit; made reservations months in advance and made a special note that my group was vegetarian. At that time, then menu had quite a few options.Upon our visit, we were told that they were currently “sold out” of multiple menu items(although this was the start of dinner time) and they had actually gotten rid of one of their veggie options permanently. Not too sure the point of making specific comments at the time of booking, if they aren’t really taken into consideration as our group had very few options.The food was terribly bland for the price they charge per plate. Service was fine.
Great vibe. Great menu (although I wish there were more ocean fish options other than the fried platter). Great beers. I had the Maratime fish fry. The scallops and shrimp were great. The piece of haddock was on the small side and undercooked so that the batter was doughy. Too bad. The coleslaw was underwhelming too. But, the bacon tartar sauce - fantastic! And the pastas my family ordered were also fantastic. All three desserts were delicious!
Absolutely FANTASTIC! Excellent, excellent food! Small menu but with all the meat and vegetarian and children's options covered. My wife had the pork, I had the beef, and son had the best chicken fingers ever. Staff were great, friendly and fast to seat us. Restaurant was intimate and cozy. Prices very reasonable.
