This is the go to Chinese food restaurant I have found after a long search since living in Nova Scotia. When giving the rating I separate it's rating category in comparison to going to a fine dining experience. So far I have had the items from a Dinner for 2 plus meat spring rolls. Nothing short of being blown away, every item was cooked as close to perfection you can get. Each item deserves a thorough review as they all genuinely surprised me but I shall not for both our sake: flavour, consistency, portions, and a truly harmonious balance of grease/oil/moisture in each item. I have not had a bad experience, I won't ever care even if I do. This establishment has both earned my respect and culinary appreciation. Please don't order from them on a food app. It's worth the effort.
Worst Chinese food I have had in the hrm. Super large portion but no flavor. Chicken fried rice was very bland with no vegetables at all. Ginger beef was very soggy with almost no flavour. Portion size doesn't make up for poor quality. Wouldn't order again.
This is first time I had bad experience with this location.This is Worst food ever I tasted, will never go backa again. I been there before when it was owned by other owners and food was very tasty. But now I am very upset and disappointed.waste of time and money ?. I ordered chow mein . I know this is not look like that ! That’s why I put this review I didn’t add anything ,this is what I got from there.
I ordered yesterday. Shrimps were not fresh and stinky. I was so disappointed. You lose client.
Best Chinese takeout I've found. Very well priced and actualy all made there in the shop. I believe it's run by a family.I go out of my way in trips into Dartmouth to eat here when I can. Sure it's not the most well off looking place or location but it's actualy great
Yum yum lives up to their name. Can in clutch for my Boxing Day Chinese food craving!!! I’ll be back
Went in order chicken fried rice. Only 8.80 plus tax for a chicken fried rice. Made it order pretty quick in like 5 minutes. The rice had no vegetables but decent amount of chicken pieces. Fried rice itself was pretty decent(just the way I told them to make it). Great Chinese menu options and combinations and good amount of parking outside the store. Overall, not a bad experience.
When we lived in Dartmouth 20years ago we ordered from here often. Stopped by a week ago and ordered. We live about 20kms away from there now. Food was still piping hot when we got home. Was very delicious and still as good even though there are new owners. Stopped by tonight and ordered again. Once again awesome!? Will be ordering from here any time we are in Dartmouth. Keep up the awesome food.
The Yum Yum Special fried rice!! Cmon this not fried rice!! 3 small dice of pork, 3 tiny strands of chicken, 6 1cm sized shrimps,and big scoop of rice plus soa sauce.I could make that at home myself better than this. Waste of Money.The craving at night is not worth for this one.They increased the price for everything by 1 cad, decreased the portion sizes,and crapy food. Sorry.
