Very disappointed. ordered first time through Skip the Dishes. Placed an order for a 3 piece Fish and Chips ( $19.90) and a side of Onion rings. Total cost turned out to be over $33.00 of which 3.00 of that was a tip. Fish arrived with Onion rings...but no fries. Called was disconnected 5 times but kept calling back. Girl kept interrupting me telling me how busy they were and talking over me. Said she would credit us for an order of fries ( what good does that do now when no chips there for supper). She called back and said I didn't order fries...I tried to tell her no, I ordered Fish and Chips a 3 pieces and a side of onion rings....Again she kept talking over me and she said no just 3 pieces of fish ....I know what I ordered and what I clicked on but she just couldn't be bothered and just kept talking over me. I said if you would let me talk and she responded we are very busy here. The Service was horrible and this particular girl needs some training.
I had a great time there. Good food, low prices and great services. I ordered a family pack and we were 5 and we left with lunch boxes! Fish n chips with a calamari appetizer.
The fish and chips, as advertised, were generously proportioned and tasty. While my daughter wasn't sure about the hot beef sandwich, I was happy to finish it for her! It did lack seasoning, but like I told her, that's why there are salt and pepper shakers at the table! Kids, am I right?!
Food is great! However, when I called to ask for a price of a meal today, one of the waitresses was rude to me and told me not to call to ask and that I should know prices before calling and just hung up..
1 star might be too many, ultimate seafood platter was just a mush of greesy deep fried items thrown into a box to form some sort of sea monster. Nachos were okay. Overpriced…. Never again.
I may have only ordered the burger, but I will honestly say it was one of the best I’ve ever had! My wife got the fish pieces and that was very yummy too.
Ordered skip from Sam's and it took forever to get. Seemed like the driver kept going to the wrong places on the way to get my food .. no fault of Sam's. The food arrived and the fries were cold and soggy. Now the only reason I gave one less star is because I don't think it was an issue with the driver because the burger was still fresh and hot. The burgers at Sam's is one of the best in dartmouth
I had read some reviews myself and heard from coworkers about Sam's. There was a really nice atmosphere, kind of like your home meets a nice sports bar/seafood restaurant. They have a lot of options on the menu, and I mean this in the best way, but they are like a "greasy spoon" style restaurant. What I mean by that is that the restaurant is cozy, they have great prices, and a lot of their dishes are fried (which is great if you're like me and LOVE fried food!). I'll definitely be coming back to Sam's!
Awesome fish and chips. The fish batter is always light and fluffy and the fish is always very fresh and cooked perfectly.I keep getting frustrated because for several months I have been trying to get some pictures of their food for Gmaps but each and every single time we get food from Sam's, I dig in and eat it all before remembering to take a single photo!It just smells too good!
My first visit to Sam's Seafood & Grill. I ordered two piece fish and chips and it was great; the batter was neither two heavy nor too greasy, it was almost perfect. This will not be my last visit.
