Had a great feed out on the patio. A wide variety....great burgers...We'll be back.

Food was OK. I have had better food for a cheaper price. Don't need to go back

Great food, good service. Will definitely be back to keep trying their delicious burger combinations.

Great food, excellent service! Second time there and I will be back!

First time hwre and so happy we stopped in. The burger..its actually home made hamburger!!! Homemade fries. The fish tips were amazing. The waitress was so friendly. Can't wait for next time !!

staff members were very friendly and the food was amazing . I had haddock tips and fries and a Keith's... will be back

It's a dive bar. Not much else to say. Foods more expensive than it should be. Staff is very friendly and helpful, I liked them a lot.

staff was super friendly and I throughly enjoyed dining there.. I will be back... ps Kareoke would be awesome at this place ( just saying )

Lost many options when covid hit and most items remaining are burgers. Love the club wrap. Good portions but drinks are not bottomless

In the almost forty odd years I’ve been going into Halifax I have to admit I don’t spend much time across the harbour. This holds especially true for eating. There are just too many choices in Halifax to even consider going afar. This last trip down there I agreed to meet an old friend on my last day before I flew home and as he lives and works on the Dartmouth side we agreed to meet and eat there. He chose the Pilots Pub one of his regular spots. First off is the location. Its about a thirty-minute walk or a short drive from downtown Dartmouth in Woodside. It however is really convenient if coming from the Halifax side as it is literally steps from the Woodside Ferry Terminal. As the name would suggest it’s a neighbourhood pub nothing fancy, but clean and welcoming. Large windows overlook the harbour and there is also a small patio with the same view. There is as in most Nova Scotia establishments there is a separate room full of video slot machines. The menu is what I call standard pub grub, burgers, wings and such with some Atlantic Canada options such as chowder added. We both had the fish and chips and I was impressed. Haddock, not cod or halibut, with just the right amount of batter, not too thick, not too thin. There was a good selection of local beers on tap including some very fine micro brews and I would recommend a pint or two of Nine Locks Dirty Blonde to wash down the fish and chips. Overall a good lunch, nice atmosphere, great view and great food. I’ll definitely be taking the ferry over again on my next visit.
