I've seen this restaurant for years since it's in my neighbourhood, but only got around to trying it now. Fairly extensive breakfast menu and a smaller lunch menu. Bargain full breakfast for $6.50. I had the Belgian waffle with eggs, sausage and fries. Syrup came with the waffle but I soaked it with the egg yolk. Very nice. Fries are crispy and tasty and probably made on site. Fairly strong coffee which I like. Meal was just over $10 including the coffee.

We had breakfast here recently and the food was good and the service was fast and friendly. From the menu I had the Big Breakfast (3 eggs, 3 bacon strips, 3 sausages, toast, fries, baked beans) and coffee: good value at around $12 for the breakfast and a few bucks for the coffee. My wife had the omelette; a selection of ingredients was offered. She enjoyed it. It’s a small neighbourhood diner, nothing fancy but solid diner fare. Previous reviews stated that Nena’s was “cash only”. They have recently started accepting plastic but as luck would have it we were there on the day of the nationwide debit/P.O.S. shutdown. No matter - we paid cash.
Nena's serves up a wonderful breakfast menu and their coffee is first rate. Today was our first visit there and we will definitely be going back. Friendly and efficient service, coupled with great food, make this our new favorite breakfast nook in North Dartmouth. A hidden gem. As they say, if you're looking for the best food (not the fanciest), eat where the locals eat. ?❤
Such a cute little nook; food is delicious & at affordable price. By far one of the best tasty steak we had in a while and the home made fries were crispy and great. Staff is truly amazing - service impeccable, welcoming, warm & kind. We will definitely come again. Highly recommend!
Expected more from previous post. The eggs could have been cook a little longer, they serve that with French fries, which tasted greasy and finally the sausages did not taste good, not sure how they cooked them, they tasted like grease. I would not recommend it.
Great "hole in the wall" breakfast/lunch spot. Employee were friendly and attentive. Food was well cooked home style fare that will see you through the day.We found Nena's after a Google search during our morning drive from Halifax- Stanfield Airport.It hit the "spot"!
Best pouched eggs in HRM hands down.
Dear lord this is some quality food. It's about the only place I can get properly cooked bacon. Every other joint I viste offers limp soggy bacon that gives me food poisoning. But nenas always gives me proper cooked meals while being so fairly priced.
Eggs benny meal was fantastic! Wonderful prices and just as great quality. The coffee was better than Starbucks! Honestly don't go spend 2-3x more at the big chain breakfast places; order from Nena's and it's a win/win for you and for a locally owned business.
