If you've been to Jack Astors before, this is exactly like the others. And if you haven't its your usual "American style" food. We opted for salads, which were fine, but we got sick afterwards - not sure if related to the food.

Recently went to the city for a trip and decided to go to Jack Astor’s! My friends who joined me on this trip and I have all worked in hospitality for years, so naturally we pick up on things that most people might not. The selection on the menu was great! Plenty of options and we were blown away by the selection of sides as well. The food was amazing! Our server, Omarion (so sorry if I spelt his name wrong) was incredible! He took great care of us along with the rest of the staff. Thank you for a great experience! :)

Jack Astors has been one of my favourite restaurants for years, but after this experience I sadly won’t be back. We ordered takeout and used curb side pickup. When we got back to our hotel we realized we only had 2/3 of our meals. We called back and they said “oh yeah we noticed”… and we had to ask them to deliver it to our hotel since we no longer had a vehicle. The hotel is 4 minutes from the restaurant. 40 minutes later we called back and they said they don’t know what happened. They “sent it with one of their guys.” They had no apology, just a “we’ll just put the money back on your card.” Very disappointed with the customer service.

Jack Astor's is a fine establishment, the food is decent and the staff are friendly. However I do feel that the prices have gone up a little too much. The quality of food did not go up, the atmosphere didn't increase and neither did the service. But the prices have been steadily going up.I feel like you're better off going to other establishments such as Moxie's for the same price and a much classier and cleaner feeling atmosphere.

I was prepared to write a review with my disappointments while we were waiting for our meal but I waited and the issues continued right until the end of our visit.Customer service does not exist here. We waited a long time for a table to be ready for us, despite the restaurant not being busy. We also waited a long time for being greeted by our waitress, waiting for drinks and our food. With the amount of empty tables and great number of staff on the floor, this was inexcusable. My daughter and I went to the washroom and all the stalls except one had clogged and dirty toilets that were beyond disgusting. The garbage was overflowing and all over the floor. While this was the result of rude customers, the staff should be checking the washrooms enough to prevent this amount of mess. After notifying the staff, they did remedy the washroom but did leave one toilet clogged. This door should of had a sign posted with not in order. Customers are going to continue opening this door and be horrified. 6 of our orders were mediocre. They were warm but not hot. The Mexican chicken bowl was terrible...clumps of rice, too much salt and a small amount of chicken. After taking two bites and leaving it to be collected with the rest of our finished meals, the waitress asked about it and despite us telling her that it was not good, we still paid full price for this dish. What is truly disappointing about our visit is when leaving our waitress a tip of $10, she looked at the receipt, looked at us with a glare, did not offer even a thank you or have a nice day and continued over to the server's station and showed her coworkers the receipt and began talking about us. We caught her eye while getting up from our seats and she gave us the same glare. Very unprofessional and rude. We will not be returning but hope that these issues are looked at by management.

Had the chicken fingers with lemon pepper, the garlic pan bread, fries and ceasar salad.Chicken fingers were great.Garlic pan bread was okay, a bit excessively greasy.Salads were okay. There was a piece of spoiled slimy lettuce in one.

The food at Jack Astor's never disappoints. My personal favorite here is Mexican chicken rice and fish and chips.

Really enjoyed our food Mexican chicken bowl was amazing lobster and crab dip was top notch and kids hamburger meal, perfect. Only problem was that we asked for water twice and still never got it. I would recommend for a happy family supper for you and your kids or yourselves

Jack Astors is a casual dining restaurant. It is a cross between a sports bar and a steakhouse. We were here for lunch. Restaurant is clean and servers were very attentive. Food was good and reasonably priced. I always have to find something to critique so here it is. Their menu speaks of a craft root beer that they make for their establishments. I ordered one but was informed that they no longer make it and have not for quite some time. They should take it off the menu. Even if they are waiting to print new ones, they could always point out to patrons, which items are no longer available before they get excited about it. Not a big deal but still I will point it out.

Awesome service, our waitress was lovely! Didn’t get her name but she’s blonde with her hair half up & two pigtails. Super kind and quick to serve. Also loved that you could see another woman who I will assume was the manager ( not in standard uniform ) cleaning off tables and serving food - helping the waitress’ as much as she could! Food was great! Would recommend! :)
