Amazing experience as always! Food is delicious and there is a lot of variety; between fried food, sushi, wok items, soups, etc. Every time I’ve been there, the servers have always been friendly, helpful, and seem to genuinely care about the customer service experience. I highly recommend.
For fathers day my family took me to Genji Sushi. Overall the food was fresh, and the quality was good. The plates were also cleaned off the table quite quickly as well which was great. In addition, it was served faster than any other sushi restaurant I have been to which was quite impressive.The only reason for my 4 star rating is I think their pricing is a little on the high side now. To be fair I know inflation has been driving prices up, and the price of fresh fish has no doubt increased as well, but I did also feel the portions of fish were a little smaller than the last time I went there. I really noticed it when they brought our calamari order to the table as it was the smallest 4 pieces of calamari that I have ever seen when it used to be a small basket full. Where this is an all you can eat restaurant, you could keep ordering the same dish if you wanted more but I didn't bother. I would not recommend the spider roll as it was quite dry but all the other rolls we tried were great ?Overall it is worth while visiting and trying if you don't mind paying $30.99 for an adult.
I love this place! The food is great and the staff are very friendly! The only thing I have to say is the washrooms. The washrooms are a bit outdated and they could use some more stalls. There was also one time where the staff forgot about my order, but I reminded them so it was fine. Other than that, this restaurant is a good place to come eat! ?

Lots of variety, large item menu, great staff!Fresh sashimiLarge tempura menuKorean-Japanese mixesFresh, flavourful Gyoza.Great spot for newbies and lovers of sushi.Huge parking lot, AYCE (with military discount), large sushi bar and kitchen staff, clean facility and rooms for a date night or a large gathering.It's so bad now that the staff knows us! A must try.
Excellent service, menu, and value. Clean and respectable-looking establishment. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly. We came around 7pm for the all you can eat dinner. Restaurant was empty and then some more people came in. Menu choice was excellent for AYCE, but not buffet-style. Food came out of the kitchen rather quickly and everything was delicious and plated well.Side note: the 4 or so aquariums seemed to be well kept.
The food here is amazing as well as the service! The all you can eat is a great deal and you get so much food! Was recommended to visit here by the manager at Comfort Inn here in Dartmouth. Probably some of the best sushi I've had in a long time! Will definitely return if ever back in the area.
Great staff, great food, and well taken care of fish. Always great to see with restaurants when they take care of their fish. My favorite dish was their tempura coconut milk! Not too sweet but super yummy.
This is my first lunch at Halifax. I did a lot of homework before I came, I thought this restaurant had a good reputation, but I met something crazy.It is my first time using Google view as well.I have two small pieces of advice for the waitress.Firstly, if someone is talking with you in English, please do not speak Mandarin, please. I'm proud of my Asian background. I’ve learned a little bit of Chinese at school as well. But I am not that glad to be treated as a Chinese. Moreover, if you speak English with the Caucasians, pls do not speak Mandarin to Asian faces. Not every Asian is Chinese.Secondly, I ordered a grilled eggplant; when I realized it was rotten, I talked to the waitress, she replied that if you feel the food has any problems, you can talk to anyone you want. That's crazy. This is the first time I've been treated so rudely like this. You can find 100 ways to solve the problem. You could choose to help me get another one, and I'm ok with it. It is all you can eat. If you do like that, you don't have any extra cost.I never thought this kind of discrimination would happen in Canada, especially in a Japanese restaurant.
We always love coming to Genji. Best sushi in HRM and I love how attentive and friendly the servers are.
