We were lucky to get some seafood chowder before Evan’s closed to take back to hotel one evening. The kind service made ordering easy. The chowder was bliss: lobster, clams and haddock with home-made yeast rolls. I would have gone back for another meal there if we’d had more time. Convenient location in the fabulous Alderney Ferry Terminal.

Delicious food! Best fish I had in ages!

Evan’s is awesome! My sister recommended their clams and chips and it was so good! The portions were a good size and it came with plenty of condiments and utensils. Really friendly service too. We were served by one of the kids and he was professional and polite. Thanks again.

One of the best places for fish & chips in HRM. The fish is perfectly done - without any oil dripping from it. The portions and prices are good AND they're gluten-free! They also have the absolute best onion rings (GF too!). Staff is very friendly.

A must!! The scallop sandwich and fries were perfection. My husband ordered the scallops and they were unbelievable. My children ate the fish and chips and said it was top notch. We also ordered the seafood platter to go and it was delicious. We will come back next time my family travels to nova scotia.

The chowder was delicious - the best we’ve had on our trip out east. The seafood dishes were fresh & filling. The carrot cake is a must!

I thoroughly enjoyed my first experience there a few years ago and this was the first chance to go in a couple of years due to the pandemic. The ferry ride from Halifax along with their delicious food makes for a great combo. The lightly battered fried scallops were fantastic as were the fried clams. I also loved the seafood chowder. I cannot recommend this place enough. My only regret is that I didn't have enough time to try everything. The prices are also cheap, if you're used to NYC prices like I am.

Excellent service and the best poutine I’ve had in a long time.

I had two good meals here (Scallops and chips, Clams and Chips) but I am just finishing up the Lobster Poutine and honestly I can't even begin to convey my disappointment. I got the large sized and and there was so little lobster if I didn't know if it was called Lobster Poutine I would've thought a few stray pieces of Lobster made it in by mistake.I conveyed this to the staff as well as my severe disappointment and I'm told that's just the way they make it and only offered a weak apology.Next time I am craving seafood I'll be goi g to one of the other fine restaurants across the harbour. Considering I had large poutine and a side salad I would spent about the same amount and got a better quality meal

Located in the ferry terminal building. Indoor and outdoor seating. The cashier was helpful answering questions. The food was prepared fresh and served to our table. Everything was well done, clean and energetic service. My trout burger was enjoyable. The bread light and fresh. I squeezed a little fresh lemon on it to increase the sour. My husband liked his halibut taco better as he tasted my trout.
