We ordered online (for pickup) and it took 30 minutes AFTER the projected pickup time to get our food, which was not even prepared right. Blizzard cups were only about 75% full and not very solid by the time we got them. Fries were also only about half full. It wasn't like the order was placed during the dinner rush or very near to closing time either, so this was a particularly disappointing experience.
So i have been coming to the Main St location for at least 3-4 yrs. Since the changes in management, as well as all the letting go of incredible staff, this place has gone to the dogs!! I come EVERY day & the quality & QUANTITY of the specific item i purchase is a complete disgrace!!! Somehow, staff do not understand what “FILL TO THE TOP” & 5 PUMPS” mean! That’s pretty basic info is it not! The fact i have to tell them EVERY time is completely ridiculous & they still don’t get it!!! I get a cup full of ice cream with a tiny bit of toppings. I spend $24 EVERY DAY, 7 days a week, that’s $168/week and they seem to think because i come there so often that they can skimp on my orders!!! The staff are not very friendly & seem to have attitude when i come back & tell them to do it over. This place is not what it used to be & its all because of new management/owners & staff. I just left there & my blizzards are half full when I ordered a large & this happens every day & im at my breaking point with this place. If i wanted a medium i would have ordered a medium!!!! And im still charged for a large. I used to tip $2.50 EVERY time but no more!!! Now, they get NO TIP. They NEVER flip my blizzards upside down but i see they do it with everyone else.. They know me by name thats how often i go. I have found hair in my blizzards!!! Its a shame that a place that has had a great reputation for family & friends to come to for a treat for so many years is now just fallen into the hands of people who only care about $$ & to heck with the customers!!!
Whoever decorates the cakes obviously doesn't like their job . Years ago they did amazing with requests the past two times they haven't met expectations. The first time I called and complained and they said they would call me back and never did , this time is there any point?
The front counter staff were friendly and tables were clean .Tried the new Reese's Pieces cookie dough blizzard . Yum
Edit: We were able to directly contact them, and should receive a free burger. So, that's good. Not tricky after all.---Mom used her gift to get me a cheeseburger with bacon. I get home and there's no bacon on my burger! We wasted $7 for this, and only now did I see. That's not right. Someone's not doing what they should.Bad enough it's $7 for a single patty.Shame. ☹️ Frustrating.Also, they didn't give us a receipt, so we can't even do anything. Very tricky.
I used to love DQ. Like to the point I was there with family or friends like 3 days a week. Things in my opinion have just gone down hill. The blizzard is my go to but 8 out of 10 times they are so poorly mixed that you eat all the good stuff at the top and the bottoms just plain vanilla soft serve with virtually no flavour. Too many times do you get a medium with enough in the cup to fill only a true small. It's just disappointing. And sadly this location was my go to. Now we travel further to get a better quality Blizzard. In my mind for the price of what they chatmrge you there is no reason these can't be consistently good
Wouldn't recomend going here if moolates are your thing. They act like cool whip comes out lf their pay. Also you have to ask to have it when its already advertised on the signs. I'v Been to many Dairy queens and never had this problem, every time i go there, i do wich as been at least 5... For such an expensive drink, it should look like the advertisment.
I was at the Main Street DQ in dartmouth and went through the drive thur and order six ice cream, a few ice cream bars, and two milkshakes I had coupons and they tried to charge me a couple of extra dollars then what it should have been so I went into the store instead because of a miscommunication and it took about 10 minutes to get served at the counter and once I finally placed my order another 10 minutes later they gave me melted ice cream the had been sitting there since I was in the drive thru, I had to ask for new ones. This has been about the third time that I’ve had bad service at this location. And to top it off when I asked the manager about the general manager and if I’d be able to speak to them, she informed me that my concern would never get that far (no further then her). Not pleased!!
They still got it!! Best Milkshakes and Blizzards!!! Loads of flavour and Blizzards had lots of red velvet in there. Flamethrower burger was good too!! Amazing customer service at the speaker and window, We will be back!!
Normal DQ with the same great desserts. Would just be nice to have the menu ahead of the order speaker to help to decide what you want, before you get there.
