Few places were open and delivering, being Good Friday and all, so a friend and I decided on this place given we had a craving for Indian food. I ordered with low expectations and requested ‘extra spicy’ for 2 dishes (curry chicken and vegetarian) to see how hot they would make them. I am used to Indian food from the UK and boy was it on point, my friend enjoyed it but struggled with the heat LOL. We ordered quite a bit for 2 people and devoured everything. The sauces were flavourful with body and not watery like most spots in town who haven’t reduced the sauce base sufficiently. Looking forward to placing an order again and suggest given them a try.
This has been my go-to place for shawarma plates for the last couple of years - but they have been inconsistent the last few times I've ordered from there. The rice included used to be just a very neutral plain rice that went awesome with the meat and the garlic/tahini sauce. Then the second-to-last time I had ordered had this very strong flavoured yellow rice (maybe saffron?) with it and it is absolutely awful with the shawarma flavours. I can't even eat the rice. Thought it might be a one-off and they had been out of their usual rice so then I ordered it again after that and the neutral rice was back - so I was very happy it was back to normal! Then I ordered it again tonight and the yellow rice was back. So needless to say I was not pleased as I couldn't eat a good chunk of my meal. Before the rice fiasco I would've given this place 5 stars and I had recommended it to friends and family. I just wish they were consistent with the rice or at least had the option on which type I'd prefer.
I have been coming to Byblos Indian cuisine from the past one year. I love their food especially Amritsari Kulcha and garlic naans. Today their tandoor was not working properly. I requested them to give me atleast one naan with my regular order of daal makani and butter chicken but they refused for naan as they didn’t want to compromise on quality. I told them that my wife is pregnant and craving for naan too much so atleast give me one. The cook was extremely nice and tried to make one naan. He said it may not be of the same quality today because of some burner issue but will try their best. He showed me while making it specially for me. Thank you Byblos to help me even after hours and fulfilling my request.P.S. They didn’t charge me anything for naan and gave me free.
It’s great when you make an order, they accept it and say it’s ready but you get there and it’s closed ?
Best Sweet Paan I ever had it??
Love the Butter Chicken and Garlic Fries. Vin Tea is Awesome to Love the Taro smoothies and Brown Sugar milk tea.
Exceptional food, exceptional service! If I could give this 6 stars I would! Absolutely amazing food. Served with so much love. Was checked on several times to ensure we enjoyed. Food was served quickly and waitress was very knowledgeable about selections and made excellent recommendations. We had lamb curry, butter chicken poutine and the feta salad. Can’t wait to try more from this amazing menu! Have your next date night here. You won’t regret it!
I've only eaten here twice, but both times were good experiences. The first time I had Lebanese food and the second Indian. I found both to be fresh and delicious.
We ordered Paneer tikka masala, Amritsari Chole, Lacha parantha and butter naan. Everything was so delicious and fresh. Prices are reasonable and worth the taste. Highly recommended for Indian cuisine. Can’t wait to go back to enjoy some new dishes.
