Quick service, decent atmosphere. Pricing is reasonable too! Portions aren't huge but it will fill all but the hardiest of appetites. Known for the Fish and Chips you won't be disappointed. Fries and your run of the mill. Fish or course is the draw and the batter is light and crisp. The Fish itself is moist and delicate. Worth dropping in for a feed.
Nice cozy little British style pub with a good sized beer menu, with everything from the standard macro offerings to local craft beers. Service was prompt and friendly and the fish and chips were the classic and proper battered fresh cod. Very tasty. Prices were very reasonable. Recommended if you like beer and fish & chips in the traditional setting!

Fries are fresh cut and the gravy is ver good. Looking forward to other fare later in the week.

Myself and my husband visited last week for the first time. We are both from Newfoundland and both agreed this was the best fish & chips we've ever had!! The batter way light and crispy! ALSO, there poutine was amazing as well! We can't wait to return again!!

This review is long overdue… I came here in April 2015 (almost 7 years ago) and to this day I still think about the fish and chips! THE BEST! Hoping to visit NFLD again soon and DoD will be my very first stop ??
First visit to Duke of Duck, friendly staff and excellent food
Off the beaten path, but we'll worth going to. Went on a Friday at 3pm and it was empty, by 5pm it was full and overflowing with regulars. Afternoon Happy Hour = cheap drinks. Best Buffalo hot wings in town. Large fries come as a huge portion, homemade and delicious. Would definitely go back. Highly Recommended!
