Well this was a great place to pop into and grab some fish and chips. Nothing to shout about or slap a mother over, but the chips were tasty and the fish very tasty. I enjoyed the tartar sauce and the coleslaw that accompanied the meal, it was delicious all around! I would like to return to try their other fare if I get another chance in life to travel to NFLD. Four stars for the food and four stars for our special server, but one is removed for the haughty-snooty "greeter" who did no such thing. Just ignored us the whole time we waited for a table and were were the only ones in line to get in. We finally got seated by another server who saw us standing there. So, when you walk by, stop and have a meal! Good luck with their greeter though.
We had reservations on Sunday for late evening. When we arrived a sign on the door said closed for an outside booking. No one was around so we waited for a server from the outside deck to inquire. We opted to sit outside. We ordered fish and chips-no fish. We ordered spinach dip as a starter-no chips. The fries were soggy. It was a long wait to get food and then a longer wait for the bill. We have been here several times in the past and have always enjoyed it but this time we were disappointed with the food and service.
I'm not saying this was the worst fish & chips I've ever had, just the worst in NL. Granted, it was late (11:30pm), but they're a 24h establishment. The fish was simultaneously dry, chewy and crunchy; basically, it seemed like it had been left under a heat-lamp for hours. Even if the fish had been good, it would have been a little small of a serving given the price.The fries were fine. Generous serving of tartar sauce (which was fairly good), and ketchup.
My son took me there a little while ago, OMG it was amazing. The welcome you get when you walk in the door was just out of this world , The Server was extremely friendly and the food mmmmmmm - it was the best I have ever tasted. I certainly loved and enjoyed every second while I was there, actually I didn't want to leave. I would definitely 100% recommend this restaurant to everyone- I can assure you , you will not leave disappointment. ?

The seafood platter was very good and the scallops and soup were exceptionally amazing. In my opinion, the downside is that it is definitely pricey. Other than that, the experience is amazing!
The service was excellent. The food was great. Prices are reasonable. It was chilly and the server went to turn the heat on. Small things makes a big difference. Definitely worth eating there

We went for a early Valentine’s night! We had a reservation and although we ran late the staff were more than accommodating. I didn’t catch our server’s name but she was a female with red hair and had the best service and attitude. The atmosphere was great as always and we this cozy little gem! ?
