I went there last Sunday, they had one fella working in the kitchen. It took 30 minutes to get a veggie sandwich and a coffee to go. I watched the fella making my sandwich and though he wore gloves he kept wiping his gloves hands on a dirty rag.I brought it to the attention of the waitress who finally brought my food out and she tried to justify what I saw. I told her what he was doing and I could see what he was doing. I grabbed the disgusting food and left. I wouldn't recommend this place unfortunately and I certainly wouldn't go there again.
Rude service. Overrated. I have been a frequent customer for 20 yrs... back when auntie crae's at churchill sq. Has been a big part of my routine. No more. Just realized service and goods not worth it. Time to move on
I love Rocket Bakery.Love their bakery products. Their flakies and croissants are sooo goood.Really like the coffee and teas they make.Great staff ❤️Always clean and amazing place to take your favorite bread.I visit the Churchill Sq. the most.
I wish I could find them more stars… my chocolatine was disappointing though the pastry was decent. The lack of chocolate impacted my overall enjoyment. Their current scone (not pictured) was good though it was very dense and floury than I’m used to. I may return to try other items in the future but not before I give other places a chance.
Rocket refused to give our wedding deposit back even though it would have been impossible for them to provide the services agreed upon at the time of booking. When we were forced to rebook our wedding plans at the Rocket Room due to Covid in 2020, we were initially told that our deposit would be held in trust until such time as the event could be rescheduled. When venues were again allowed to operate some months later, we were still unable to return to Canada from Australia due to travel restrictions in both countries. Then, near the end of 2020 we were informed by the Rocket ownership that they were moving from their old Water Street location and would, as a result, be losing the function room, and therefore unable to hold weddings in 2021. We were then told, after several emails back and forth with proprietor Dave Hopley, that we would receive no compensation of any kind from Rocket, despite the fact that the facilities we had paid for no longer existed. We got nothing at all for our money because of the supposed financial hardships that Covid had foisted upon Rocket Bakery; a company which, 18 months later, is now operating 3 locations.Covid has been devastating for many and outside anyone's control but I am absolutely shocked that they can get away with keeping our money, when they are still operating a successful business. It is truly shameful behaviour from a company that has the gall to associate itself with the traditional Newfoundland values of kindness and community. What is worse, I strongly suspect that we are not alone in our experience.

Only had a few minutes to catch the tour Boat. Good walking distance in the downtown core. Quick wrap a Pepsi and cookes for 2.. all good and fresh
Prices were decent and location is good for tourists, although very small and cramped. Unfortunately the raspberry "flakey" we bought was just layers of raw pastry dough. The "sinful cinnamon buns" were lacking as well; a dry lump of crumbly dough with barely one swirl of cinnamon inside. Very disappointing and as locals we will not be back.
