Great service, food and atmosphere…all the way from Ontario
This place is escally nice food is good but they OVERCHARGE ON SO MUCH STUFF!! We were home for a visit from the mainland and ordered 9ounce glass of Pino Geregio ?? They CHARGED $$17. FOR 9 OUNCES!!!! THIS IS WELL OVER CHARGED,!!! It only cost that much for a bottle!! I went to 3 other clubs and they charged $7.00 for the same thing! I will NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!!! THAT IS PURE GREED!!!
Just had the absolute worst experience here. Waited over two hours for our food. Not given cutlery or napkins to eat with, let alone salt or ketchup. Asked our server multiple times for it as well. Got that frustrated went up and got it from the bar ourselves. Food was sub-par. Service was HORRID. I’ve worked as a waitress, have plenty of compassion but the amount of money we paid for a treat out was such a disappointment. Not even a fork or napkin. Would never recommend again, or will we ever be back. They did nothing to rectify our experience, with no apology when we expressed our concerns
This is a local bar That's been a landmark in downtown down for quite some time. You should avoid this Bar later in the evening because they can't figure out where the volume dial is on their live music. I love music but they play way too loud in this place. It's impossible to have a conversation. I know downtown is the place to go to enjoy music and have fun but when the volume is this loud all you can do is suffer through Some local musician. Drink selection is poor here as well.
The entire staff was incredible. I felt safe at all times with full-time security, and the bartenders are the best in St. John’s. Loved the live music!
$10.50 for a pint, ouch.. when the pint isn't the best.. double ouch. Not the greatest singer, kinda wished I stayed at Roy's.
The food was delish. Had the GS burger and left with a really full belly. Live entertainment to boot and it was Jason Greely. Havent seen him in forever, May years ago did security for him in Harbour Grace. Would def go back again.
Live music, amazing atmosphere... simply great place to sit have a drink/food and enjoy your evening
Amazing fish and chips! The live music was great and added to the atmosphere! Our server was friendly and quick. The pub was clean, and had plenty of tables! Was brought here by recommendation and was not disappointed, will definitely be back for more fish and chips!
If you're under the age of 50 this isn't your bar. Also the musician isn't very good. Also everyone is really old. There are much better choices on George Street. Also... no stout, so no Irish car bombs. Seriously.
