I had fish and chips with gravy today for lunch. First time in a long time. The fries were all burnt,and the dish ,well let's say, the batter was so hard it was impossible to eat ,and whatever fish I could find was dried up in there
We've had some very good meals here of late. Ches' choice chicken continues to be the best kept secret in the city
The food and prices are very good. I almost always have the Ches's Choice, 3 pieces of chicken done in Ches's own recipe, fries, dressing, gravy, and a drink. It's great value for my money, I can take home some chicken, and the chicken coating tastes better than other chicken and chips restaurants
This review is a bit late as I went to Ches’ a couple of months ago. Anyway, when I got my order, I can’t say I was impressed by the look of it and I also found it wasn’t cheap at all. Then, when I opened the order, I thought they forgot the dressing that I specifically asked for. At that point I was not pleased one bit by my experience. Luckily, I was so wrong! It was absolutely delicious and they didn’t forget the dressing; it was under the food! I will definitely be going back. I’d tried the fish and chips at one other place before Ches’ and it was nowhere near as good!
Fresh,hot,delicious food Myself and my brother went here for my birthday ? store staff were kept busy, but always had a smile & very friendly.Very comfortable and clean store. Would recommend this pkace as a must drop in place
Iam from out of town ,on my way out of country and wanted a quick meal to hold me over. The young girl that served me was great. Catered to all my needs and was so friendly and sweet. Had the Wing Ting ,takeout with my wife. Delicious.On the orher hand went to the Freshwater road location a week prior and was treated like a Thing. Counter staff was so rude. Felt like a money donator, now get out. Food was sub par, got very sick from the wings. No napkins or condiments . Never go there again.
Soaked in oil. If you like the taste of feeling nauseous then this is the place to go.
Great food very friendly staff
I find Ches's to be hit and miss, I've eaten at their restaurants several times. Often the batter is soaked in crease though, the fries are good. Other times it's outstanding. My favourite is two piece fish, fries dressing and gravy.
