Good atmosphere, very busy on a Monday night. Food was ok, it is a steakhouse, didn’t get the steak … probably should have given it a try! We had pulled pork quesadillas with a palatable salad that was nothing special and a wild rice stir fry that was ok!
One of the very few places that open late and serve food. Visited late on a weekday and it was packed. Food was good but we had to wait a long time... don't know if it's usually that busy or just around hockey game days. Worth a visit if you don't mind the wait.
I think this is the best meal I have ever had on this trip of the east coast.I ordered the seafood chowder, Caesar salad, bacon wrapped scallops and mussels. Everything was delicious and really good. Highly recommend the seafood chowder and mussels as the sauce was flavourful.Service was attentive and atmosphere was cozy. Located on a side street, away from the busy street. This place is a gem.
What a great find in one of the little side streets! Not a cheap option, but delicious food and quality. Friendly service.Comparable gastro pub selections as with the great Uptown pubs, but steaks and more. I actually prefer their menu to other local pubs.Hubby said the CG burger was actually better than his...he's never said that before!
Great service. There was some confusion on what pepper sauce is I guess, if what was sent is pepper sauce then I am Santa Claus but the steaks tasted nice and the fries were great. The only think I would say is that for a steakhouse your steaks are extremely thin. I went for the t-bone because it said it was local beef but I was a little disappointed when I saw the thickness of the cut. I would say maybe a half inch of thickness.
First time there. Had potato nachos, hot wings, and Nashville chicken burger. All three were exceptional and best chicken burger I’ve had in a long time. Would recommend and will definitely be back.
Showed up at 6pm asking for space for 15 at 7pm and they happily obliged. Every last person was blown away by the food and the service was top notch. This is one of the top restaurants in Saint John. Well worth visiting!!
I went here intending to have dinner. I didn't have a reservation but there were plenty of tables empty when I arrived. They pushed me toward seating at the bar area. That should have been the first sign of things to come. I ordered the baked brie. It's literally one of the easiest appetizers to make. After two pops the waiter asks if I want to order my main. I tell him I'd like to wait until the appetizer comes out. Another pop later the baked brie arrives. It was accompanied by an entire plate of bread and chips. The baked brie was served in a small cast-iron pan. The pan was lukewarm to warm but the baked brie was cold. Like it had been baked earlier in the day and maybe sat under a warming plate. There was no way it had been just baked. I told my waiter, he took it away, said I wouldn't be charged and basically motioned at me to leave. Nobody apologized -- nothing. Taking a hint, I left and went elsewhere. There's a reason why the restaurant wasn't even 60% full on a weekend with the Memorial Cup bringing everyone to Saint John.
We were here for lunch. The food was good but the wait time can be a little bit long. It is definitely not the best choice for quick lunch break. But if you have time why not?It is like other place downtown. The parking is always tricky, not free during the day and very limited.
This was a terrible experience start to finish. The wait staff were all very friendly so no complaints there, just the extremely expensive awful food is what is wrong with the place.Clearly frozen and microwaved vegetables, a steak that was 85% gristle, a mint green coleslaw that looked like it was stolen out of a KFC dumpster, store bough macaroni salad, melted marble cheese on a baked potato? Did a child make this meal? Also, they do a little sneaky trick where they ask you if you'd like your potato double baked and fail to mention it will cost you an extra $4, not cool!I was contacted by the restaurant to thank me for my patronage and asked if I had any comments, I sure did but nobody responded. I'm just not sure how people can open a place like this and basically disrespect the patrons from start to finish. a $150 bill for a meal neither my wife or I could stomach. I wish the place at least responded to my email but what are they gonna say? "No we certainly don't microwave frozen vegetables sir, you must be mistaken". They know what they're doing and hope the general public has never eaten an actual meal before. Please avoid, there are actual restaurants in the same area that serve respectful meals.
