Had delicious lobster rolls and scallops with fries. Food was all excellent, high quality and fresh, good servings. Very very good scallops with nice light breading. Nothing fancy, old school interior but a good spot to grab a bite and sit yourself down and enjoy
Delicious lightly beaded scallops, and super delicious lobster rolls. Currently 2 for $30. Nothing fancy but a good place to seat yourself and enjoy. Would come back for sure
I love how deluxe sticks to some old school things, old school cash registers, old school receipts, old school paper plates... Etc, the food still tastes like it did decades ago, which is fantastic of course. The portion size is respectable as well. I don't go too often, but when I do, it's always awesome.
The quantity and quality of food were lacking considering the price when compared to other places. I ordered a seafood platter that had one piece of fish that was deliciously prepared, six scallops that were perfectly cooked and delicious, maybe six or seven clams which is significantly small amount of clams for a seafood platter and a handful of French fries. I asked for no ketchup in the bag but extra tartar sauce. My receipt showed exactly that however I received no tartar sauce and extra ketchup
Riverview location dirty. Debit machine is filthy and its on the same counter as your food will be. Money, debit and food all handled with the same unwashed hands. Photo shows my full order of onion rings. What a joke. Do better!!!!
Dieppe Location is always great. I was at the Elmwood Drive location today and all I'll say is what a Fiasco!! Thankfully the Supervisor was there because clearly the younger staff didn't know what they were doing....First time there and it will be my last...
Visited Mountain Rd Moncton location on May 21st 7:15pm, best service I have had in a very long time. The young gentleman (I think they called him Alex), was cleaning seating area (very hard at work focused on details), overheard me say to my dine in friends that i was going to go grab a knife, he quickly got it for us AND cleaned our tables when we were done. I hope this location knows how lucky they are to have him! I been in leadership for over 20+ years and I would hire him in a heart beat!
I ordered the Englisch style fish and chips. For that reason I expected to get some salt and vinegar fries with some nicely fried fish. Unfortunately I got tasteless fries that where fried to long in to old oil. The fish itself tasted ok, but since it where kinda small pieces they where all overcooked. Moreover the batter was pretty dark and had a kinda old oil aftertaste as well. Maximum 2/5 for the food.I'm giving 3/5 because the restroom was clean and I kinda liked the old fashioned dinning area, which could need some polish but has it's charme too.But it's still not a very pleasant experience overall. If you're around you might wanna give it a try but from my perspective I would not recommend a detour for visiting this restaurant.
So sad to see the quality going down hill. I keep going back every 3mths or so to see if they've gone back to hot crispy fish and chips but no such luck. Still have the best fries in town just need that extra 45secs of cook time.
Food is really good, great price for quantity. I didn't appreciate the worker mopping the floor while I was dining. Basically enhaled strong cleaning chemicals while eating. Great combination! Nothing like eating yummy deluxe fries while enhaling the scent of javax!
