Good homemade burger. Reto look inside
Wasn't expecting much walking in, but damn is the food great here! It's one of the best burgers I've had in Winnipeg by far. I love the old school diner style setup. I highly recommend this place!

Dropped into here the night of Beer Fest, had a really nice meal, food and service were both excellent price is reasonable. Highly recommended.
first of all, the SIZE of the bacon cheeseburger was HUGE which i did not expect but was more than happy with (now i don't have to cook myself dinner) and it tasted so fresh, homemade, flame cooked. Deliciously juicy. And the fries! came in a bag, nicely salted. Tasted like the fries we used to get from a Mr Chips truck many years ago. 1000 stars to White Star!!
Loved the food and the environment. The owner has amazing stories of his love for ocean liners which shows in the establishment. A must try.
I really enjoyed my meal here. I had the Southwest Chicken Burger with a Chocolate Strawberry milkshake. The chicken had just the right amount of crisp to it and size of the burger is a lot bigger than what you'd normally find at mainstream fast food chains. The service was quick and friendly. I will definitely come back to try more things as well as share this place to my friends.
Ordered the shrimp po boy and was not dissapointed! A good amount of perfectly cooked juicy shrimp—I had some in every bite. The remulade was nice and punchy. A little messy which is to be expected. Good ratio of bun to filling AND the veggie mash was surprisingly awesome. (Salad not from white star, that is mine)
Wow, what a burger. And 'slimming' shakes? If you say so, I'll take two please! This place was a When Harry Met Sally experience. If you don't know what I mean, go watch the film, then go to White Star.
Had a great rueben sandwich here the other day that really hit the spot. Over the years I've enjoyed everything I've tried! The place has a cool classic diner look to it and the dude is always really friendly.
