I have to say the fries are perfectly golden & perfectly crisp. Poutine is made with real cheese curds & the gravy has a nice taste. If you like your poutine smoothered in gravy you may want to order extra gravy on it. I had the Sweet Dreams burger as the sirracha & mozza sticks on it had me intrigued & it was pretty good. I'd recommend if you're looking for a "fatboy" kinda burger joint. They hold up to all the other places.Note, this place is a walk-up but there are some tables to enjoy your meal at.
This restaurant is a hidden secret, I thought 5 guys had the best Fry's in the city until I found this place! Burgers are amazing! And the staff are friendly! My only complaint is I wish they were open every day! Amazing food
Great everything. I get something different everytime and I've loved it all. I would call it a burger staple stop for Winnipeg. Don't skip on the fries or the shake either.
Ordered burgers fries and a poutine here a few weeks back. With out going into alot of detail of each , just know you will NOT be disappointed! Will definitely be ordering here again.
Stopped in to have a poutine, it was very tasty. Homemade fries, gravy and just the right amount of cheese.If you want Homemade fast food, this is the place to go.
I haven't eaten food from The North Star in over 10 years! I'm house sitting in the neighborhood and before I go back home I knew I had to order from here. Ordered through Skip. My order came fast, portions were huge and it tasted phenomenal!!!!! I ordered The Weber Combo with a poutine and mozza sticks on the side. Sooooo good. It'll be worth the 30 minute drive when I order again.
The food is always above and beyond! Absolutely one of my favorite take out places. Deluxe burger was amazing and there poutines as delicious as always!?❤
I've been going to the North Star Drive-In since I was a kid coming home from school! Absolutely delicious every time. Their poutine has an excellent gravy and the fries were still crunchy, not to mention it had the perfect amount of cheese. The burger was also amazing, cooked to perfection!
Burgers were very tasty. Fries and gravy was really good too. Burgers were made fresh amd a nice portion of fries and gravy.
Fries taste sweet and of potatoes. Fat boy was well made with nice chili. Only complaint is that the fries, while well browned were a little soft/floppy for my tastes (I know some prefer them this way).From ordering to ready, fresh cooked food was about 10 minutes. Well worth a stop, I will return when in the area.
