Fish & Chips, Curry sauce. Some of the best fish ever. Cooked perfectly, Crack the batter & steam escapes; exactly what is meant to happen. The cod flakes easily, and the fish is not greasy. The chips-- not so good. Limp, some over-cooked, thinly cut. It's a mystery to me how the same kitchen can turn out two parts of the same meal so opposite yet on the same plate. Double frying is the classic method of getting chips that support the fish; getting them on the plate at the same time would help. The curry sauce is a pleasant option over the tartar sauce.

Nice pub in the area. Was my first time there. Parking is a little tricky as it's a busy area but lots of side roads nearby to park on. Pub was clean and service was good. Menu options are lunch were pretty decent. Had the fish and chips and they were good. Pub has a lot of local draft beer on tab. Wouldn't hurt to go in and try it out for yourselves.

Would highly recommend the mushroom soup, cauli bites and the cinnamon sticks. Chicken pot pie and habanero Mac and cheese looked pretty tasty too. Looking forward to trying more menu items. Yummy!

If you love spicy foods, get the habanero mac and cheese. I crave it every week its that good. incredible service and ambience in the restaurant. Been going for years and ive never had a poor experience. Veggie burger is also the best veggie burger out there. It isn't trying to be something its not, it’s just beautiful as itself. Cranberry chèvre salad is so tasteful along its side, highly recommend. Overall, give this place your full support because they deserve it.

One of my favourite restaurants in the city. Have been enjoying their food for many years and look forward to many more. The Harvard Burger is like Heaven in a bun! Enjoy!

Went for supper on a Saturday nite. There special beef entree was sold out. Their creme brulee was not available. I will not go back again.

Hands down one of the very BEST burgers I have ever had the pleasure of devouring!!! ? 6 stars. Great ambiance, exceptional service and good ?! Burger photo will be posted tomorrow!

The Grove reminds me of a good English pub. Warm, friendly atmosphere, good selection of beer, wines and cocktails and good, solid food done well. Service is always excellent, I go here more than I should and always end up wanting the Harvard burger. The new addition of summer patio seating was very welcome addition

I had an opportunity to have a drink and some pub fare at this Winnipeg sports bar last week. This seemed to be one of the first pubs geared toward middle-aged people and the entire bar area was occupied by women friends sharing cocktails & having fun. There are several TVs with sports playing on them but they are not overly loud, so it's easy enough to carry on a conversation. The drink selection is quite interesting and offers some nice Canadian favorites. I had an opportunity to sample the maple whiskey sour & it didn't disappoint. The others in my party had beer and there is a nice selection to choose from.Sadly the caesar salad I ordered lacked taste and the poutine was a disappointment as well, with only 4 cheese curds and bland sauce. I'd return here but only for drinks. Lots of street parking & friendly staff. Reservations recommended.

This pub is frequented by family members and I came in from out of town and came here on an unbury Thursday night for cocktails and pub food. The cocktail menu is small-ish. I had the maple whiskey sour which was nothing special - couldn't really taste the maple whiskey. The Caesar salad was tasteless and the poutine was really disappointing. I know poutine is mainly a Quebec dish but you'd think if they have it on the menu, they'd prepare it better. My dish had all of 4 cheese curds and the fries were soggy and sauce was over-salted. The only decent dish was the carrot cake, but I assume it's not baked on premises, so all in all - a real bust. Not returning here on my next trip to Winnipeg.
