My bakudan was full of tempura just as a filling. And then tuna was mixed with mayo. It was way too heavy and I didnt enjoy it for paying $15!! For just two bakudan rolls. not coming back
Best sushi place in Winnipeg hands down. Been coming here for 6 years and won’t stop anytime soon. Only forgot to give them a review because I’m too busy eating.
Love Sushi Kuni. St. Boniface resident for years and frequently dine in and take out. Excellent sushi and staff are super friendly. Was very child friendly when my kids were small. Highly recommend.

Called this place at 2:21pm to reserve but they were booked up. Was told to come in as a walk-in and it would be first come first serve. Drove all the way from the other end of the city and made it here before 5pm and they turned us away and said reservations only. Mentioned to them that I had spoke to someone and they proceeded to deny that they spoke to anyone today and gave that information. Showed them my call log and still denied it. Used to be my favorite place to eat, not anymore.
Pretty disappointing. Our bill was 175.00 for two adults and two kids under 12 and the amount of food did not go far...
The food was great, reasonably priced and the service was exceptional. They were very busy, yet extremely kind. Would definitely order again.
Excellent value for money. Good selection of rolls and nigiri (I always get the unagi). I really like their miso soup. The decor is not what earns their stars - it is a diner type space. Great for a quick meal or takeout.
