Good food at good price . Not so ample to accommodate more than 50 people at a time . Opening time for dine in only from 4-9pm. The Beijing duck is popular so usually out of stock.
Congee takes like hot water, no flavor, nothing. Your mouth is full of bitter taste after eating a tofu.
This is not a fancy restaurant but when you enter and find the seats occupied by Asian people then you know the food is great. I brought my sister and father here as they both were wanting something different. They both loved the Chicken balls as the chicken pieces were larger and there was a slight bit of Szechuan heat. If you want a very flavourful meal in a Szechuan style then you will like this food.
Very pleasant customer service. Food is also good. If you like spicy food you can ask for extra spicy and the taste is good. One thing I don’t like is we can see the stuff inside the kitchen and seen chicken hanging on and keeping the alive lobsters is not a pleasant thing for me
Great service, servers were very attentive.Food has never disappointed!Highly recommended for Chinese food.Be sure to call ahead to make reservations as they're usually very busy.
Authentic Hong Kong style Chinese food.Do yourself a favour skip Canadian style chinese food go here and order some Peking Duck. It's amazing. Recommend ordering a few dishes and sharing among friends.
I recently picked up the S1, the rice with smoked duck and cured meats for take out. I must admit it is one of the best Chinese rice dishes I have ever had. It does not disappoint, so flavorful. I have been reading a few reviews and there are some comments that Sun Fortune is a little on the expensive side. I personally think Chinese restaurants are finally raising their prices compared to other non Asian restaurants, as they should. I do agree charging excessively for condiments such as hot sauce and items such as white rice is a bit sketchy, given these items are relatively inexpensive food items (what's cheaper than rice).
Honestly, this is a great Chinese restaurant. The food is consistently good. But they are cheap with their portions. For the price of a dish the portions should be bigger. The small portion sizes and inflated prices are the reasons I rarely eat here.
Taste and portions were good. They charged for a small container of hot sauce and 2 small packets of soy sauce. Not a go-to spot, but would work in a pinch.Service otherwise was pretty good.
One of, if not the best in Winnipeg. I personally love the Pan Fried Shrimp with Spicy Minced Pork & Spicy Beef Ho Fan with Black Pepper in Mini Wok.
