Haven't been here in years, but came here on the patio tonight with my girlfriend as she lives just down the road. WOW! Will definitely be back next week. Our server Alisa was amazing and has been one the best I've experienced in many years! She was at our table all the time, no problems at all with service. Kept upselling me on more shots ? (my rubber arm). The food was unreal. Had the spinach dip and and chips for starting, grilled cheese burger with fries and dill dipping sauce, split two ways. Awesome portions. 12/10 night!!
We sat in the bar, and our server was very nice, but don't waste your time with the food, and have a drink instead.I ordered the spinach dip that was not bad, and my husband had the fish tacos which he said weren't the worst that he has had, and not the best either. I had the State Smash made with raspberry vodka, mint, raspberries, and mango chunks which I would definitely order again; it was nice and light tasting and not too sweet. My husband drank the Lawn Mower Yard Lager from the Churchill Brewing Co. and he said it tasted watered down, and that he wouldn't order it again.
Pretty disappointing. Due to my GERD my options are limited in general, but this menu has only a few dishes that I could eat. I opted for The Main burger as it sounded good and easy on the gut. The first thing I mentioned to my party after taking a bite was "where's my second patty" in which I got a quick reply "it's right there". Two McDonald's sized patties which I mistook for a single patty. The second complaint was the dryness and lack of condiments on the burger (no sauces). The place was pretty empty and the waitress was inattentive, not once had we been asked about our meals or drinks. When we got the bill we had to ask a couple times for takeout boxes. Woke up around 4am with a gut ache and stomach troubles the next day which didn't subside until the evening.Wasn't worth the money spent. I paid $17.50 for what I would get at McDonald's for around $5.00. I went to McDonald's to get a McDouble just to compare the two, lo and behold they're just about the same except the McDouble tasted better and didn't upset my stomach.
I usually don't make bad reviews but the experience was horrible. we started out by ordering drinks we received a flat beer and a watery sangria. We ordered "soup dumplings" to start...they came out right away, cold. Those aren't soup dumplings either as they were literally dry, not steamed and tasted like something microwaved from Costco. We ordered 2 9oz sirloin steaks med rare. One came out perfectly done, mine came out medium well. At that point our server was still no where to be found, didn't check on how our food was either and came off sarcastic and un friendly. I ended having to go to the bar to get the bill. I used to love going to state and main, always had great food and drinks. very disappointing.
Nice atmosphere and good food and drink selection. The service was not as good. Not sure if our server had too many tables, but restaurant wasn’t even 1/3 full and the wait time was long (to order, to get drinks, food and the bill).
Awesome food, service and most delicious steaks and bang bang shrimp as an appetizer! Their drinks are delicious and definitely will return! At times the wait staff was a bit busy but we enjoyed our food and atmosphere! We would definitely recommend this over the Keg! Their washrooms are very cool as well! Individual spacious stalls! Thank you for a great experience!
Fast service and delicious foods.
Very hip atmosphere friendly service. The food is very flavourful and filling.
I’m giving my server, Daniella a five stars, I’m giving the restaurant and management a 2. Our server was basically tending to every table, busing the tables and was visibly overwhelmed. At one point we felt so bad for her that we offered to clear tables. You could tell she wanted the help but couldn’t accept. The food was delicious though.
Went for dinner last night with my partner for our anniversary. We sat in the lounge and both ordered steaks and I also paid extra to add shrimp with the steak. Our food arrived completely cold even though we were dining in. It seemed like the food had been sitting ready for a while and nobody came to grab it because everything on the plate was cold the steaks, the shrimp, and the mashed potatoes. The “seasonal vegetables” was just undercooked asparagus that was still solid and it was cold as well. I hadn’t been to this restaurant in years and I don’t see myself going back after our anniversary dinner was completely disappointing.
