I've ordered the Mushroom Mozza Burger and a Double Bacon Cheese Burger with no tomatoes...AMAZING! This place never fails to satisfy my craving for a good quality burger. I've been to several well-known burger places in the city but this one really stands out from the rest. This is the best burger place in Winnipeg. Highly recommend going here if you really want a good tasting burger. GO NOW!!!
The burger was flavourless. Tasted like cardboard. Ended up throwing half of it away. The fries were OK but definitely no where near the best in the city. no condiments on the burger and it didn't come with any on the side. The chilli I added was a big mistake and made everything taste like cinnamon covered cardboard. Gross.
Expensive meal and bring you're own napkins, fork and condiments! Double bacon cheese burger didn't really have much taste. They made my order wrong, I asked for regular salted fries and they gave me cinnamon salted fries instead. I was curious about the cinnamon fries anyways so I just ate them (meh, I think I would have enjoyed the regular salted fries instead). The nice thing was the employee brought the food to the car, but they didn't provide any napkins, forks (for fries) or condiments of any kind. This was soo annoying especially with how much the food cost, they could have slipped in a few napkins and a fork (at least). When the box was opened the burger and fries looked nice, but it wasn't for me, again I felt the food was bland.
Huge portions, great taste. Gotta love the novel partnership with the airbase. I personally love their pineapple bacon burger. Better than the Aloha burger at Jolibees. The cinnamon fries... Strange but worth the try.
One is best places in the city.Burger are always fresh and utterly scrumptious! Customer service is top class.
The fries are great, but the burgers are bland, and really have no character. Putting bacon in every patty is a bad idea. It adds nothing to the flavour, and turns off anyone who doesn't want to eat pork. Strangely, it was the driest burger I've ever had. Lean ground beef doesn't make good burgers. The reason for the 1 star review isn't the food, it's the management. Their policy to refuse cash is disgusting. Why should people have to pay a fee to banks just to spend their money? We already lose money every month to egregious bank fees. We may soon see cash outlawed so that banks can charge fees on every transaction. St. James Burgers likes to force their self serving policies on to their customers. There was a time in our culture when service providers catered to the customer, but now the trend is to demand that the people serve the business owners. I personally boycott such businesses whenever possible, and suggest that intelligent, considerate people of this city do the same. If we don't set an example, the decline of this society will only accelerate.
Just went there and the workers were AWESOME! I am allergic to everything and one of the workers was very helpful when I placed my order. Food is very much worth the $$ and the portions are huge! I will be back! ?
Amazing burgers! The portions were really large and the sauces were delicious. Great burger spot in Winnipeg.
First time here. Loved the fries. Thicker style homemade fries with salt, very good. Not impressed with burger. My favourite kind of burger is the kind that is crispy blackened on the outside, and soft and moist inside with some great seasoning. This one had none of that. It was nice and thick and somewhat moist and could definitely tell it was hand made which is great, but it did not deliver. Just adding some seasoning salt would given it a big boost. Unfortunately It had the pale look of a burger that was just heated up in the microwave. The bun not that great either. Have had much nicer pillowy fresher buns elsewhere. However, would sure go back for some more fries!
Sweet baby Jesus this place is fantastic. Live a little a try their specialty burger, whatever it is. And the fries. You won’t be disappointed.
