Who knew Winnipeg, or Canada for that matter was this cool?! This place has the vibe of an ancient grimy underground restaurant in Valparaiso or London; an essential stop for the right type of restauranteur. Make a reservation - this place is small and we went for dinner at 10pm on a Saturday and it was packed. Be prepared to go on a search to find the place - head down the alley to a non-descript staircase and go down. Once you enter you'll be transported to the dark, dingy, candle-lit basement restaurant & bar. Food - great menu and as a bonus there is a late night menu where you can pretty much get a full meal that starts at 1030pm. Oysters are incredible, as is the foie gras. Drinks - would highly recommend the 3oz Zombie. Is the server asks if you want it served with fire and fun, just say yes! Service, food, drinks and atmosphere were incredible. Add this to your list of must-visit restaurants in Canada if you're open for an atypical dining experience. Literally a hidden gem in Osborne village. Pick up a bottle of their in-house made hot sauce on your way out if you enjoy quality hot sauce.

Panning to do a candle light dinner at home?! Sounds too cliché? Yeah that’s why this is the exact place for it! ??Just the perfect vibe you are looking for!Had an amazing candle light dinner experience.Service was top notch. Food was average.Limited food options as it changes every week.Highly recommended.

This place has the most amazing drink menu. My boyfriend and I were absolutely blown away (especially the recommended ones by our waiter) however, I was a bit disappointed by the food here. I heard they can make you some amazing vegan dishes as long as you give them a heads up prior to coming here so that’s exactly what I did. I booked online and indicated that I am vegan and was hoping to have a vegan meal (about a week and a half notice) when we came to the restaurant the only dish I could have was an extremely sad salad which wasn’t tasty at all and beet tartare which also was not good. My boyfriend enjoyed the oysters but not the steak. It ruined the experience for me unfortunately and I I wouldn’t come back here for food but I would probably for drinks!

This is my and my fiancée's favorite restaurant in Winnipeg. If you are looking for a fantastic, romantic, atmospheric restaurant and you choose anywhere that isn't Sous Sol, you are making a mistake. Well portioned meals, top shelf liquor, and staff who can 100% recommend the proper drink to go along with each course of your meal. I've never been let down by the charismatic waiters and waitresses who work there and we always look forward to the next time we have the time to go back. Max, a gentleman who works here, makes the absolute best hot sauce I've ever had in my life. If you request a bottle or have the oysters, you will not be disappointed.Book your reservations and enjoy your meal, it's a bit expensive but well worth the price tag

The atmosphere and just the whole experience of this place is a must. Our server was very nice and very attentive with us thru out our whole time there. Food was plated really nicely and everything tasted real good. The potatoes are a must!! Definitely coming back here in summer with our pupper ☺️☺️

The antique/vintage vibe was so cool. Dark with candles everywhere provides the best lighting and the food was incredible! We had the duck and boar and the potato dauphinoise was quite simply incredible. I wish I would have ordered another to take home. The cocktails were delicious! The dessert left a little to be desired, but the rest of the meal easily made up for it!

I was there as part of a party of four for dinner; between us we sampled a wide variety of the menu as well as a couple of bottles of wine and some cocktails. The food was as good as I've had in any restaurant in Winnipeg, and they make a great Old Fashioned. Our server was delightful; she had a great knowledge of the wine list including some history behind some of the regions their wine came from (which was confirmed by one of our party who is somewhat of a wind buff), and we had a great time talking with her. The restaurant is dimly lit and cozy with a decor that reminded me of a couple of restaurants I've been to in New Orleans, which is a plus for me. This is a great restaurant that is worth going to as regularly as one can afford.

We ate here last night and it was amazing! The ambience is like no other. The server was knowledgeable and fun! The food was all so delicious. I highly recommend for date night, girls night, after work drinks and snacks!

Such acute little nook in one of my favourite neighbourhoods in Winnipeg! Their pork belly is to die for.

The service and food is incomparable here. Absolutely amazing. The space is beautiful. The atmosphere is welcoming and cozy. If you are looking to impress a date, this would be the first place I recommend.
