Our mixed rec paddling team has been coming to this location for many years. Although before the pandemic quality was beginning to decline, we have become extremely disappointed. Service is still good and staff are still friendly. First, sports teams no longer get free nachos. This is understandable, because I suspect some teams would come in, get their free nachos, order nothing to drink but water and leave. This is not our team, we always order wings, fries and drinks.The wings have become very small and don't have much meat on them. The new flavours are promising, but when it is costing 90 cents for a wing that looks like it came from a budgie instead of a chicken, it is definitely not worth what we paid, even factoring in the higher costs of goods and services.In addition ithey have been arriving cold or lukewarm if we are lucky. We had to return 3 orders out of 4, because of this issue.Many of us try to order local beer on tap. We had to change our beer order, because one of the kegs obviously oxidized making the beer unpalatable.If our team could find another place to go after paddling as convenient we would go in a heart beat. All of us have begun to check out other options.
It doesn’t get any better than wings and Corona at Smiitty’s Grant!!! Taylor was awesome ! The feel in the room is awesome just wait till the Patio fires up ! Great job!!
Decided to go the extra mile and leave the review... the location is probably not any different than others, but I've enjoyed to be served by Kaitlyn.She is one of the people who serves our weekly BNI meetings and she does it great!Being mindful for the presentations and still being very efficient.She's an asset for the location for sure!
Classic hot wings on a busy nightThere is a large parking lot which we found a spot quickly and easily despite it being very busy.It was a busy night with a fundraiser happening. They did find us a table quickly despite it being nearly full.We had a very comfortable booth. Despite it being super busy we still could talk very easily.Our service was excellent and fast. Food and drinks were quickly brought to the table. The food was fresh and hot.Ample hot water for tea and refills on the cola kept coming. Super friendly staff.We had BBQ, Buffalo ranch and the dry honey habanero wings. The BBQ was a classic wet BBQ sauce which was really good, the honey habanero was decent but the star in my opinion was the Buffalo ranch. The Buffalo ranch at first looked flabby but it was super tasty and tangy. The side of celery and carrots was huge.Overall it was a superior wing night experience we will be back :)
Was a busy Tuesday night as the restaurant was having a fundraiser on the lounge side - but they seated us immediately in a booth by a window on the restaurant side. Enough parking for the restaurant as it is in a strip mall - shared parking lot for all the businesses there. They have wings on special tues, wed and thurs nights. We had 3 lbs of wings - Honey Habanero, Buffalo Ranch, and BBQ. Carrot and celery sticks were crunchy and fresh on the side with ranch dressing. Great flavours. The food came out fast and hot. It was great to see that the food was served quickly with the crowds that filled the restaurant that night - the kitchen would have been very busy with the amount of customers. Its a sign of good management - having enough staff on hand on a fundraising night - keeping everyone happy and well fed. Good planning was evident on our visit to this restaurant. Staff was attentive and drink refills were done in a timely fashion. We will visit again. Thanks.

I have been to Smitty's Pembina several times and been served by Cat each time. She is a bubbly, fun and professional server. She always makes my experience as enjoyable as possible. Each time she has been welcoming, asked if my booth/table is a good location, is prompt with her service, asks how my meal tastes, thanks me for dining at Smitty's, asks if I have plans for the day/evening.......in other words she cares about me and my guests. I only wish servers at other restaurants were as pleasant. She is a 5/5 in terms of attitude and service, and is one of the reasons why I keep coming back to Smitty's. Thanks, Cat!!
I had Cat as a server and she was so lovely and created such a welcoming and friendly environment. She made sure I had everything I needed and provided me with great service.My food was delicious, and I will definitely be coming back.
Food was served much faster than expected which was a great surprise. Then we saw why…part of the order was missing all together. What did come was terrible. Spices were dumped on the food. So much so it was completely inedible. Other parts of the food had no spice at all. Lettuce on the burger was limp and brown. Tomato on the burger was completely yellow. Cheese on the “poutine” was not melted and only on 1/4 of the fries. No gravy served with it. When we contacted the restaurant we were offered a coupon for wings only…very disappointing.
Overall great service. It was a Jets game night, so it was very busy and loud, but definitely enjoyable atmosphere. My server’s name was Cat and she was very nice and quick with serving my table.
