The owners here are some of my favorite people. The staff are always friendly. The food is great. They so many great live bands. It's so fun and I've never had a bad experience there.
Good pub food, English atmosphere, convenient location. Bartenders served us off the menu cocktails on our request which was great! Guinness on tap. Been here a few times and I’ll be back again!
Bartenders were very rude and had very poor service. Bartenders were getting mad because people were saying "Hey, can we get some service" just for saying "hey" and not calling them by their name, but when people would ask them for their name they wouldn't get say. Would not recommend this bar at all, if you want good service go anywhere else but here. Also the drinks were no good.
We stopped in Winnipeg driving from Ottawa to BC. Did a walking tour downtown and searched for a place to eat. Saw a great review for this pub and especially the lamb burger. Had to go. We weren't disappointed. We all enjoyed our food and I especially enjoyed the lamb burger. I highly recommend it. They also had a local band playing Irish/Gaelic music.... phenomenal. Really added to the already nice atmosphere of this pub. Sam M(I understand there are many Sams that work here) where excellent hosts and looked after us well. Thanks so much ladies!
Yummy whiskey sours, great gent served me at the bar and looked after me all evening.All there servers were so nice and kind.I always have a good time here.Will mostly definitely be going back.
Had the Lamb burger, I've eaten tons of amazing burgers in my life, this takes top spot no questions asked. Before even biting in, the appeal of it is just a beautiful looking Burger, clean, nothing hanging over the sides, lamb is on full display. Then it hits you with the smell of the bun, strong but yet very light, mixed with the smell of the perfect carmilized lamb burger. First bite, magic, thecreaminess of the goat cheese mixed with the Jamison onion relish, on top the juicy tender lamburger just hits different, then the pop of fresh tomatoes and lettuce really pulled it all together 10/10 must have.
Great wings. Karaoke nite is rockin'.Some ladies tried to skip out one their bill and things got wild...Waitress' did a great job.
Can get over crowded on their most popular nights which seem to be their karaoke nights, well personally, Tuesdays and Saturdays is always a good time. Get up and sing, order some food and go sing or watch a band on many other nights. Popular place to go and good atmosphere. Located right downtown and definitely has that cheers vibe where everyone's friendly in there.
I don’t really write reviews because I’m a cook in the food industry and im aware how it affects restaurants greatly but I can admit this has got to be one of the worst pubs in Winnipeg. Last night the server at Shannon’s Pub and Eatery was polite but the fact that she didn’t mention to us that we had to pay extra for sauces that we have already ordered is just bogus. We told the server (the blonde hair with the animal print mask) that i would let her know that I’d might ask for a quesadilla IF wed wanted it later in the future since we already ordered A big platter of nachos but they decided to put it on the bill for us anyways. The nacho chips are ACTUALLY RESTAURANTE TOSTITO CHIPS, not even actual nacho chips. It wasn’t even layered properly, it was just a whole mess at the top and nothing else underneath it. At my job we put half a layer of chips, then a little bit of toppings with cheese, then the other half and repeat. At the end we were full so I asked for the bill but we got charged for the quesadillas because they were “finished” making it and when i asked for the Manager he just said “well you ordered it so you have to pay for it” and then didn’t even give us a chance to speak by walking away and ended up having to pay something we shouldn’t have. The quesadillas weren’t even that good since they barely had enough cheese and peppers. Also the tortilla was dry and stale (i have a literal video of me crushing a piece of tortilla just to show you how crumby and hard it was). I would like to get a response from the owner and see what could be changed because this is honestly not acceptable and being the customer who has been here only one time and having this experience is straight awful. This is the first and last time I’d be recommending this place to my friends.
