Very nice store inside. Lots of products to choose from with some being tailored more with the area. They should change the banner though. It should say SPEND ON FOODS
Understaffed. Waited in an express lane for 10mins to buy 2 items. Only 3 cashiers working during dinner time. Its 530pm. There is one lady who is working customer service and self checkout.Customer service was non existent. And it feels like this company or the store manager is cutting back on employees
Highly recommend their pharmacy. They are very thorough at explaining your medication and go the extra mile for you by faxing your doctors.Great selection of meats at the deli.The bakery cakes are pretty good.I love how you can price match as well.
Last time I went this store was 6 months ago. Security guard was very rude. I went to take cash back after buying 1 chocolate. I didn’t see him and when I was leaving I threw receipt in dustbin. He was watching and spoke very rudely to me and said me to pick receipt from garbage, I felt it embarrassing when I refused he called manager. When manager came other employee (security guards friend I guess) blamed me I was stealing. Everybody was watching in store I felt very embarrassed. When manager found receipt from dustbin and figured out everything was ok. She simply said I can leave. Few of my friends were watching and she didn’t even said sorry. If think attitude is more important than customers. That was last time I visit to store. Now I know why Walmart and Canadian superstores are good place to visit
New to this area & first-time Save-On-Foods shopper. Been there 4 times & still a bit lost with their layout. Friendly staff~especially 2 of 3 women supervisors were very helpful on my visits. Not as much variety in name brands as other stores.. perhaps because they have large selection of their own brand-Western Family. Tried their brand in back ribs & homestyle chicken/veg meat pie (660g). Both were quite tasty..! They match other store flyer prices too.. much appreciated by low-income folks & seniors w mobility issues.. be it with oneself, transportation, or both?. Feel sorry for folks without cellphones.. almost the only way to match prices, since most stores don't put out paper flyers anymore. Cost of everything has skyrocketed so I take advantage of food sale prices whenever possible.. that is when my car starts, ha-ha..! So thanks Save-On for your service & for price-matching..!?
Haven't shopped here much but from what I can tell they are a grocery store with some extra stuff thrown in. Like take out food and a Starbucks not my kind of place. More of a Tim's guy myself. Their seafood and meat departments look like they carry a wider variety then most.So give it a try I guess, you may like it.Oh now I remember we don't usually shop here because of the parking lot. Too many stores not enough spots.
I was there yesterday the only had one cashier and no one helping out at the self checkout. All the self checkout machines kept having errors. I feel bad for the one cashier, he kept having to go back between the register and you scan. There was also a huge line up. Poor guy. They say they have low prices but most items cost more here than at other stores.They do have a great bakery and ready made to go meals. You can also find international items, from other countries.
I have ordered delivery a couple of times. The substitution system is awful but the drivers are very friendly and have always been on time. Produce and fresh items are usually quite good.
Honestly this location deserves negative Stars absolutely horrible.Signed up for a savings card online was sent a temporary card by email that then wouldn't scan and they then expected me to pay full price.It's silly to expect customers to sign up for a card in order to pay the lower price that then doesn't work.I decided against better judgment to give this location another attempt and today while I was shopping I filled up my basket with goods, and put it down while I was waiting at one of the counters for service security took my basket and put all my products back on the shelf.I handed my savings card to the manager and left I will never set foot in another save on foods again!
Stopped in to check things out. Very busy! Lots of people. Have a lot to offer from groceries, water refill and ready to go meals n sides. Trying to get an online membership but was having trouble completing. Asked the crasher and mentioned it. Very polite and she passed an in store card so it could be used. She said to go on line after and can use the card # to fill out the rest of the membership that way. Great service. Thanx so much for the help.
