Great restaurant for pizza in St. Vital. Its a very small restaurant - so it fills up fast. Best to call ahead by 1-3 weeks and make a reservation if you want a specific date for your outing. We had an 11 inch woodfired pizza called the Roman. It had prosciutto, roma tomatoes, green olives and asiago. We also ordered a 15 inch Stone Baked Pizza - designed our own with pancetta, black olives, pineapple and cheddar and mozzarella cheeses. Both were excellent. Lots of choices on the menu for pizza lovers. They also had starters, pasta, and salad on their menu - though we didn't try any this time. Decent wine menu was available as well. The decor was quite nice - thought the table lights inside the bottles were interesting and worked well. Our server was friendly and took care of us very well. Takeout is available. Saw that they offer vegan and gluten free crusts as well. We will certainly go to this restaurant again to try more of their menu - this was our first time there.
This restaurant is in a strip mall but don't let the ordinary facade trick into thinking this is an ordinary pizza joint.Located in the strip mall there is eay more parking than ever could be used. However there is a limited amount of seating inside so it would be prudent to reserve well ahead of the date you want.Friendly staff sat us quickly. They have comfortable seats in a lovely atmosphere. They have decent sized menu starters, pasta, pizzas and salads etc. They had 11" wood fired pizza and 15" stone baked pizza, which we could have had thin crust or the regular (we chose the regular). Both pizzas were cooked right, neither being doughy/undercooked nor charred/hard and dry. Our loaded pizzas were just right. The regular crust on the 15" was awesome. The crust wasn't greasy. The crust light and airy. It was cooked but neither doughy or tough. Even the edges didn't get hard or crusty, just the right amount of chew. The wood fired 11" was very good, the dough handled the toppings without getting soggy and the crust wasn't burned or dried out.The quality of the toppings were very tasty and the pizzas were very filling. Everything we saw that came out of the kitchen looked really tasty.Don't let the exterior fool you, this is one great restaurant. We will be back.
We ordered food for a large party. The food was hot, and ready for the time requested. The portions are large, and everyone enjoyed their meal.We had a gluten free option and those that ate it said it was fabulous.Would definitely eat here again
After a rough couple of weeks at work I decided I needed a holiday. I took a vacation to Italy on Saturday night and didn't have to deal with customs, flight delays and lost luggage. All I needed to do was enjoy dinner at Santa Ana. The food and the service are second to none. All the reviews that say "this is the best pizza I've ever had" aren't exaggerating. I especially liked they will do half and half pizzas. That comes in very handy when you can't make up your mind about which pizza to order. Oh and not to be left out, the starters (crispy artichokes and Mediterranean shrimp) and pasta dishes (Tuscan ravioli) in our case were just as good as the pizza. You won't go wrong by dining here. Yes there is a wait to get a reservation but it is entirely worth it.
Did not disappoint!!! With a gaggle of gals we bounced into this restaurant, all with an appetite for pizza.11” wood fired pizza.It. Was. Delicious.I chose green pepper & pineapple. The portions of toppings were perfect! Not so few that there is hardly any taste, not too much that the pizza slice is “heavy”.And the cheese!!!!! Again, perfection!Oh ahhh! A deliciously balanced pizza! The serving staff. Our waitress was attentive, super friendly and courteous.Summary. Rave pizza satisfaction from everyone at our table! Will definitely return! There were many interesting dinner items on menu that warrant return visits - this evening I was yearning for those triangular slices of yumminess. It would be advised to make reservations - to ensure a table. I was surprised with the “unassuming” restaurant front, I almost walked right past.Do yourself a favour and visit or order takeout - your tastebuds will thank you.Viva la pizza ?
Jumbo tortellini are amazing!! Staff is super nice and THE BEST Cesar salad I have ever had. The Mediterranean pasta is also wonderful. If you want a bit of kick ask for some la Bomba on it. Oh also the portions are HUGE really worth your money
Absolutely delicious pizza. Will be a returning customer for sure changes my whole idea of what a pizza should taste like. Also great customer service absolutely wonderful staff.
Large portions. Very tasty food. Ordered pizza and it did not disappoint. Caesar salad was also good. Definitely recommend this place.
Visiting my two cousins and they ordered from this place as they said it's amazing. Asked that I pick, looked at their menu online and decided on their Philadelphia Pizza; wood fired steak, mushroom, onion, garlic, cheddar & Pesto Pizza; chicken breast, roasted red pepper, asiago, basil pesto. We picked them up ourselves so as to make sure that the profit goes only to the restaurant and not to a delivery service. They looked amazing! The crust was crisp and chewy. They do not shy away on toppings, each piece was a meal. Soo hearty, flavorful and downright delicious!Going to visit my cousins again before new years and hope order from them again while in town.
This pizza melts in your mouth! And the choices of types of pizza are so good. This pizza also tastes so good the next day! (Not all pizza does!) Hight recommend getting pizza from here!
