The club sandwich was yummy and the fries were good. But the gravy tasted kinda funny in my opinion. The coleslaw was a bit sweet for my liking with way too much dressing.
No Happy Hour & Less Alcohol Does Not Make Me Happy.....My husband and I came here hoping to have a Happy Hour along the river, and we were disappointed to find out that they don't have a Happy Hour here. I ordered the reuben sandwich, and the corned beef was dry like bacon but the fries were good though. My husband had the Kung Pao Chicken over rice noodles and there were way too many noodles with this dish, and his meal he said was not good; I have never seen him not finish a meal either. At first glance I thought our drinks were a great price and figured that must be why they don't have happy hour pricing but I was mistaken. If you look closely, you will see that some of the cocktails may only be $7.00, but they do not have a full ounce of alcohol in them. In fact, when you look more closely, some have 0.25 oz or alcohol and others have 0.50 oz in them.I give this restaurant a 3 Star Rating for the atmosphere next to the river on the patio which is very nice, and if you would like a night out with your friends, you can have more than a couple of drinks and still be able to drive home because of the lower alcohol content in them.
I've been there 3 times this this past month and realized they have a disgusting practice that led me to make this my last visit for sure. First things first: they have a very neat patio, with river view, DJ, and a cool vibe. Their food is easily forgettable - nothing on their menu will really make you want to eat there again. Pricing is ok, not expensive at all. The disgusting practice I've referred to is a clear favouritism to some customers. If you call them, you'll be informed that they don't take reservations on the patio (happened all 3 times I called). When arriving there on my last visit, they told me all tables on the patio were reserved (WHAT?). After some healthy conversation with the hostess, they miraculously managed to find us a table (the patio was half empty). The cherry on top of all this was the crappy terrible service we got from the waitress that had the audacity of applying an 18% tip on everyone's bills because the table was big (8 people). I really don't mind tipping even 25% when I get good service, but because she knew she would get 18% regardless, she was terrible. Did not fill anyone's water on the table, never checked in to see if we wanted anything else, etc. The bottom line is: there's clearly some kind of special treatment for specific customers. If you're not one of them, you're doomed. I do not support this kind of business and neither should you. Go spend your hard-earned money somewhere else.
Right next door to BW Plus. Both indoor and outdoor dining on the patio overlooking the Red River. Service was efficient and quick. The food combinations were a little strange - stir-fried teriyaki chicken served with fettuccine alfredo; veal cordon bleu with both rice AND french fries. Salad was fresh and a nice portion. Prices reasonable.
You want to taste grease in your mouth 2 hours later this is the place! You need someone to empty a bag of frozen no name fries in a microwave for 25 seconds you got it. utter disgusting food. Never eat here do yourself a favour!
We called ahead of time to ask if our dog would be allowed on the patio and were reassured he would be. When we arrived, the hostess brought us out to the patio and seated us without issue. Within 5 minutes a couple men came out without declaring who they were and demanded we leave because of the dog, who was laying quietly on the ground. He stated it was ‘health law’ but there are confirmed pet friendly patios in the city so this made no sense. When we told him what the staff had said, he stormed away - still not telling us who he was. We have a 4 year old child with us as well - wasting our time and causing a delay in his dinner as we needed to search for a new place where we are all welcome.
Great food and love the ambiance. Food came quickly and the staff was friendly. Only reason 4 stars, not 5 is that the coffee is good, but $3.85 and I wasn't offered a refill until we were already asking for the bill. Would be nice to get a couple top ups throughout my meal for that price.
You know what it was a cool setting. However I would have really enjoyed sitting under the Tiki Hut. We were too small a group. For the time we spent there we saw one Tiki hut that was never occupied. So we really could have sat there. But food was fresh. Patio was really cool. Drinks cold and tasty. Staff was on point. Thank you
I will never go back here. There were 4 of us and they would not let us sit in the Tiki booths because they are for groups of 5 or 6. So these booths were mostly empty. We should have left. The Greek salad was watery with a terrible dressing. Steak sandwich was unappealing. Chicken fingers and fries were very ordinary. Fries said to be "hand cut" but seemed from frozen. We had 4 different waiters/waitresses. Service was not good. Food was terrible. Do not go there!
Was at Pony Corral for Sunday Lunch. Our experience was not good at all. The staff was dressed unprofessional for a restaurant (TANK TOPS). Waited for 15 minutes to get our order taken. We should have left than. Than when we did order, we had the pony burger, which gives you a teaspoon of chili, mustard, diced onions all together. Hardly anything for topping. The burger was a frozen patty from freezer. The French fries were McCain's shoe string. PRESTENTATION was awful. ! Taste was Kmart Cafeteria special. Not Good! Meal was not worth $16.00. The drink Mimosa was $12.00 , it did not taste good. Our meal was 60.00 in total and we waited for an hour for it. When we told the waitress it was not good , she apologized while she took our money. Definitely my husband and I will not be going back. I gave them a star to write the post.
