BEST CHINESE FOOD in Winnipeg.Never been disappointed once. It’s so good. Literally writing this as I’m typing. You don’t have to spend crazy amounts of money either.. the combination plates are SO good.
ORIENTAL PEARL should have no stars at all! We just felt like Chinese and a family member suggested Oriental Pearl. The worst Chinese food we’ve ever had!Deep fried pork & shrimp overcooked, mushroom rice had 6 mushroom pieces on top not throughout, broccoli & chicken watery, egg rolls are egg rolls, And talk about tiny portions!Spent $87 fed 2 people? Everyone always has Chinese food left over - never again!Best Chinese Food in town is TOY SUN - we will never sway again.
I give the Oriental three stars because of the convenience. More than everything else it is a mediocre Chinese food in our case. After 10 years of food there, not sure if it's the quality that goes down or your expectation goes up. Definitely a staple within the same part of his area. For a quick pickup of Chinese food or delivery.
Food is ok nothing special anymore. it was once run by a Chinese man named Tom. his entire family worked there and he cooked every night for thirty years or more. Once he left it just is not the same. Back in the 80s and early 90s OP had the best Chinese take out in the entire city. Or I thought it was the best. TOday its just the same ole Chinese take out as every other place. When Tom and his wife and sons ran it it was AMAZING>
Under new ownership I've noticed some of the menu items are different
Staff was nice. But portion sizes were small, and the food wasn't good. Stay away from the sweet and sour ribs
Was so good, would recommend it to all my friends. Almost stopped ordering from here but the last few times have been awesome.
Family owned business. Been ordering here for years. Best food in the city.
Great chinese food. My family has gone here for 3 generations. Great variety and selection. Cooked fresh and good portions. Would defenitly recommend
I am not picky with raw veggies but rotten food is unacceptable. The pork meat ball was burnt. It looks like they just put raw veggies straight to the containers then pour meat and sauce over it. First and last order.
