Great breakfast place. We haven’t had lunch yet but will be back to try. Eggs cooked to perfection, good coffee and breakfast potatoes were tasty. Prices reasonable.

Great place for breakfast/brunch! A few unique dishes as well as the normal fare and great prices for the quality you get.I haven't tried their lunch or dinners yet, but if someone mentions "brunch" - this is one of the first places that springs to my mind.

Love, love, love this place. The service, food, and atmosphere is always great and I always buy the local hot sauce that they sell too. I highly recommend trying the Chicken Chorizo Waffles!

Love this little diner. The food is pretty good and large portions. I've always had super friendly and helpful wait staff. I typically dine in for breakfast and lunch. They do have a feezer where you can purchase frozen meals for home, as well as some hot sauce. It has somewhat of a British flair to the menu which is unique

My wife had bacon and roasted peaches pancakes, excellent ! I had the Chorizo, Chicken and Waffle. Super delicious!! And the service and coffee are great too. We have been here before when travelling to Winnipeg and it’s one of the best breakfast menu’s in the city.

Amazing food and a wonderful atmosphere. Had the brisket beef dip with fries and pancakes. The brisket was unbelievable and the au jus was delicious. Fries were cooked perfectly and didn’t have that gross starchy taste. Pancakes were tasty too and very filling. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend this place for a date for its quiet atmosphere

We met a friend here for breakfast. Our friend had the bacon and peach pancakes which sounds different but he said it was delicious. Salty and sweet together. I had the tortilla with scrambled eggs, avocado and salsa. It also comes with a side of potatoes. This was so good! Even though the sever was busy, she kept up with the coffee and asked if we needed any thing further. Prices are good. Portions are generous. We didn’t need a reservation as we were there very early but as time progressed the restaurant filled up and people were waiting for a table.

Nice little place, diner feel. Cool menu items. Friendly server, although appeared a bit short staffed. Food was yummy. Will go back to try breakfast!

Always excellent, always affordable, and always packed with local goodness! Whether it's the local beers or the local hot sauces you have with your meal you'll always have a lovely time at the Oakwood Cafe.(And they have Old Speckled Hen, which isn't local, but is one of my favourites)

I’ve been to the Oakwood quite a few times and its a great casual spot for anytime breakfast or brunch. Servers are good and friendly. I had the cauliflower pakora burger last time - sounds odd but it was a pretty delicious vegetarian option - and the borsht. Their portions are very generous. My only comment about the lunch menu is it would be a nice option to get a great big bowl of that yummy borscht on its own (or maybe with a slice of toast) without the a big sandwich on the side - for a lighter option.
