Store made maximum usage of an odd building suite, but very effective. Staff were all abundantly friendly and attentive. Had the ravioli for app, excellent. Had one of the chicken dishes. It was ok, little much on citrus, and could have used more salt/sugar on the tomato sauce (moderately acidic). Me and my partner visited while travelling to pick up an appliance and were very clearly underdressed, but nobody seemed to mind. Overall I'd revisit. Prices were also reasonable. The bread basket sent to the table as you arrive was....not very good. But probably the only thing I'd complain about.
I wanted to love it but it was awful. Save your money, go somewhere else. Buns and pizza were doughy , undercooked, and the calamari seemed more breading than anything else. Waitress rushed us through, pizza came before apps were done, bill came before we decided we were leaving. Clearly on a mission to make us leave and no interest in making us stay or come back. I will go to a real Italian restaurant next time. We took a chance, it was awful, I finished 1 piece of pizza, out of pity, there's way better food in this city. Go elsewhere, I wish someone had warned us.
This was my first visit to this restaurant, but definitely not my last. We were warmly welcomed as we came in and were then seated in the cozy dining room. After we ordered the server brought tasty little bread rolls, fresh from the oven. Our meals came out fairly quickly, but they would have been worth waiting for. Both my sister and I ordered pasta with seafood, and my brother in law had veal. All of us had Caesar salads as well. Our meals were delicious and the portions, generous.
Our first time visiting Monticchio and definitely not the last. Had the spaghetti and meatballs and the girlfriend had the Chicken Parmigiano. Being from a largely Italian community I know great Italian food and this was the best I have had since moving here. Quaint place and our server Nick was excellent. Definitely recommend it to anyone who hasn't been there.
How have I lived 46 years and never had one of these. Stromboli, was just fantastic. Also, the pizza is very delicious as well. Highly recommend. The prices are very good as well.
Celebrating a wedding. Food was great! I had the veal and my wife had the chicken. Mussels were amazing.
This was the absolute worst Italian Food Restaurant I have even been to.Salad was brown , calamari was like rubber and had the worst fish taste ever. The veal parmigiana was tough with no flavor. The fettuccini carbonara was not cooked and all you could taste was salt. The service sucked… rude wait staff. Manager/ owner was rude and yelled at us. He made our server cry. All in all we would never go back. I was in visiting from Texas my host was trying to impress me with a good Italian meal… might I say epic fail!!! This place should be closed down! Oh might I add they charged us full price for a meal we could not eat.
Absolutely the worst restaurant we have ever been to. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Calamari was so fishy tasting and was like eating rubber… salad was brown and wilted… veal parmigiana was so tough and tasteless other than salt. Pasta was hard not cooked. Had to go look for someone to get forks and knifes so we could eat. Manager was rude and obnoxious. I could go on and on… stay away from this place!

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE FOOD!!!! My lasagna was burnt on the outside and was hard as a rock, but was not cooked in the middle. I received the wrong salad and more than half of the garlic knots were burnt. The paper delivery bag was saturated with sauce from the improperly packaged pasta dish which caused it to rip and sauce was spilled on my front steps (no fault of the delivery person). The most alarming part of this experience was when I called the restaurant and spoke with a manager and her only concern was that Skip the Dishes would refund us 100% of the cost and was not concerned about the quality of the food that they sent us. Skip the Dishes only refunded us 50% even when we told them the manager said it would be 100% refunded. Off to McDonald's I went!!
